And I think your point about teenage girls is important. Most of us learned VERY young what it feels like to have our breasts noticed, discussed, stared at or commented on before we had any idea how to handle that kind of attention. And you’re right, it doesn’t magically stop when we become adults.

Maybe that’s part of why the language feels more personal than I expected when I started this thread. It isn’t just what you call them. It’s whether I feel like you’re talking to ME or just talking about my body.

And yes, asking the woman really is that simple. 🫶🏻

I always thought “the gurls” was a nice playful reference.

A lot has to do with the relationship. Personally I would not use most of the terminology to a woman I just started a conversation with.

But, like some stated they themselves may use terms that others may be offended by.

To each his/her own. I learned a few “new” descriptions in this thread, for sure.

I prefer the clinical term breasts instead of any nickname or slang term, however boobs seems like the most commonly used term so I’ll use that one. Jugs was the name of a porn mag so it’s definitely not a favorite; I’ve heard fun bags used which at least has a playful note but I wouldn’t use that either.

Now that we’ve explored this topic what is the best or worst term for nipples? We’ll need a separate post for that lol
