And I think your point about teenage girls is important. Most of us learned VERY young what it feels like to have our breasts noticed, discussed, stared at or commented on before we had any idea how to handle that kind of attention. And you’re right, it doesn’t magically stop when we become adults.
Maybe that’s part of why the language feels more personal than I expected when I started this thread. It isn’t just what you call them. It’s whether I feel like you’re talking to ME or just talking about my body.
And yes, asking the woman really is that simple. 🫶🏻

I always thought “the gurls” was a nice playful reference.A lot has to do with the relationship. Personally I would not use most of the terminology to a woman I just started a conversation with.
But, like some stated they themselves may use terms that others may be offended by.
To each his/her own. I learned a few “new” descriptions in this thread, for sure.

Well I was was waiting for the washing machine Repair nan to arrive to had a few mins to kill lolI prefer the clinical term breasts instead of any nickname or slang term, however boobs seems like the most commonly used term so I’ll use that one. Jugs was the name of a porn mag so it’s definitely not a favorite; I’ve heard fun bags used which at least has a playful note but I wouldn’t use that either.
Now that we’ve explored this topic what is the best or worst term for nipples? We’ll need a separate post for that lol
To me the best word is “bosom”. It encompasses the true feminine beauty, and also the nurturing warm feeling that is so important in nursing
I think we’ve ALL learned some new terminology here. Some of which I would have been perfectly happy going the rest of my life without knowing.😳
But “the girls” I like. Playful, sweet and nobody has to be compared to livestock or a piece of kitchenware. 🫶🏻

You know, “bosom” has gotten WAY more love in this thread than I expected.

I prefer breasts, boobs, the girls and tits in the right context.
Boobies, titties…anything ending in ies always makes me think of what kids call them and it really puts me off.
Chesticles, breasticles, knockers, et al, make me laugh as long as they’re used in a fun way.
Bosom makes me think of being a matronly older woman and that is really, really not me….jugs, hell no! 🤣
