So David first went to Cafe du Monde 10 years ago. I sure it is still incredible there. What did you like most there?
August 31, 2026 at 11:15 pm #800846We loved rhubarb crisp in Alaska, too. I loved picking the fresh raspberries in my yard, too. During my second pregnancy I frequently had vanilla ice cream, with fresh raspberries and bananas on top, and chocolate sauce drizzled over it.
August 31, 2026 at 11:24 pm #800850This sounds so good! I am assuming that the raspberries was the star in that dessert?
September 1, 2026 at 12:13 am #800858It was 1977 when I was there but I have vivid memories of being along old muddy enjoying the beignets. Multiple.

Yes, its the climate that we have here, that produces the best of everything😉September 1, 2026 at 2:42 am #800907I would rather have cheesecake than regular cake for my birthday.
Best cheesecake ever is home-made pumpkin cheesecake.

September 1, 2026 at 7:22 am #801001While beignets in New Orleans are deeliscious, I had to pass on them last May. While down there for a reunion we had them on Saturday. After walking a river trail with my sister on Sunday we had time for a beignets or stopping at Daquiris. I chose a Crawdad to go!😜
September 1, 2026 at 7:57 am #801012Anyone here enjoy tiramisu? I’m not the biggest fan of cheesecake, but there’s an amazing Thai restaurant over here on the south side of Cleveland, they make tiramisu the proper Italian way! That’s why it’s my go-to for dessert.
I know the owner of that restaurant, and regularly have a great talk with him every time I pay a visit there. He’s a solid, stand-up gentleman.
September 1, 2026 at 2:25 pm #801136How I miss crawdads @grogman! Now I want to take a trip there!!!
September 1, 2026 at 2:28 pm #801137Let me understand this @andes72, south Cleveland, Thai restaurant, tiramisu. Would you say it is the best tiramisu in Ohio and potentially the US?
September 1, 2026 at 3:43 pm #801164It’s pretty good. But I will have to try some from other places to see how well they stack up. Maybe make a trip all the way to Italy and get a taste of the original!
September 1, 2026 at 3:52 pm #801171The original is awesome. It is also distinctly different in different parts of Italy. And the best tiramisu I have ever had has been in hole in the wall places in Italy. I lived in Italy for 6 years, so I have had many tiramisus in my life…but I am excited to go to south Cleveland to try yours!
September 2, 2026 at 12:28 am #801530That’s just one good restaurant. If you wanna go to the Italian part of town here and try some legit stuff, Little Italy is on the east side, on Mayfield Rd between East 119th and 126th streets!
September 2, 2026 at 1:03 am #801545That sounds very tasty!
