My first concert was Bob Dylan about 1975 in Indianapolis. I was about 25 and it was thrilling. The indoor arena was full of pot smoke. I got high just from the 2nd hand smoke. ….lol. It was a long drive there from Cincinnati but well worth the trip there with my buddies.

Place I hold dear is Westerbork. Every year we spend Easter with friends and family in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful area, we go there for over 55 year now. A weekend without rules. Very historic place too ( WW II, Anne Frank)
Question: who taught you an important lesson in life, a positive one?
My favorite memory is of my dear aunt who taught me what kindness and understanding is and the power of a hug at the right moment.
April 17, 2026 at 1:09 am #730893The person that taught me an important positive lesson in life. Boy, that’s hard because I can think of so many little moments! I’m gonna go with my grandma, she’s tiny but tough. She said to me once, “I’ve been alive for 82 years, HE doesn’t scare me”. Absolutely life changing moment for me.
I’ll keep the question going:
Question: who taught you an important lesson in life, a positive one?April 17, 2026 at 6:50 am #730988Aha at the Brighton arena in 1985 was my first concert. Most Memorable was Tina Turner at the old Wembley Stadium in London and travelling to see Kiss in Brussels on a Tuesday then travelling to Paris to see Aerosmith on the Wednesday. Unforgettable experience.
April 17, 2026 at 6:53 am #730989Who taught me an important lesson in life. There’s so many. I will say my dad, he’d say to me, don’t worry about tomorrow because tomorrow isn’t here yet.
April 17, 2026 at 6:59 am #730991Here’s my question.
Does everyone remember their first car? Or for those who have never driven, their first bicycle?
My first car was a ford fiesta popular plus. 1983 registration. It was 8 years old when I bought it and only 12000 miles.
First bicycle was a Bmx with mag wheels.April 18, 2026 at 12:20 am #731320So cool! One of my high school friends’ first car was a Ford Fiesta, we used to all pile into it like sardines.
I never had a bike as a kid, I just borrowed whatever my friends or cousins had extra. But my first car was a 1995 Hyundai Elantra.
Same question
April 18, 2026 at 1:39 pm #731443My first car was a Dutch car, a Daf 33, when i was a student. It could drive backwards as fast as forward.
Two door. We bought a tv ( a very large one, back in the day). Shopkeeper assisted us to our car. He didnt think it would fit. I sat in the back, my now late partner had removed the passenger seat. It fitted perfectly.April 19, 2026 at 5:09 pm #7317511966 Pontiac Tempest owned by a Granny. A great car for cruisin with friends.
My first bike was a hand me down from my brother. We stripped the frame, shortened the fenders, Rube Goldberg rear suspension, painted candy apple red. All done by Dad. A BMX bike before there was such a thing.😜Continue this line of questioning.
April 20, 2026 at 1:22 pm #732054My first concert ever was Suicideboys when they were on tour in 2017.
And my first car was a 2005 Smart forfour. Little bug took me everywhere haha
April 20, 2026 at 1:49 pm #732066My first concert was The Offspring in 2001. It was loud and amazing.
I have never owned a car, but if I did, I’d own an Aston Martin DB9 or 1971 Ford Mustang. Maybe the white Dodge Challenger from the film Vanishing Point too.
Continue line of questioning.
April 20, 2026 at 7:43 pm #732252My question for the crowd:
If you had to give up one thing you enjoy/ cherish, what would it be and why?
April 26, 2026 at 6:51 am #734538If I had to give up something I cherished, it would be my first edition books. They are books that I enjoyed reading and it brought me joy to have them. However, with the loss of my parents, I’ve come to realize that no one cares about them but me and it’s just one more thing for family to deal with when I’m gone. I’d rather not make my family deal with my “stuff.”
Same question forwarded:
If you had to give up one thing you enjoy/ cherish, what would it be and why?April 28, 2026 at 12:13 pm #735405Great question! If I had to give up something I cherish, I’d give up all my photographs. I have hundreds of pictures up all over my house of my kids and friends and pets and places we’ve gone and I’m always telling my kids “a picture is a placeholder for a memory”, but if the pictures were gone I’d still have the memories.
New question, but sort of similar. You are being transported to a remote island tomorrow, and it’s a tropical paradise where you’ll have everything you need to survive so you don’t really need to bring anything, but what 3 things would you want to bring because you can’t live without them?
May 3, 2026 at 6:58 am #737581Christy, this remote question one sucks, lol this coming from someone who has survived 48 hrs with an empty can, a rain poncho and a Swiss Army knife.
In times in my life all I wanted was the love of an amazing women because being lonely and feeling no value is not what we were put on this earth for…
next I would want… well the first thing.
the last… again the first thing. I would consider myself a good, high level and resource rich man . That has a big heart, tends to have his heart on his sleeve way too often and wants just to get love in person as much as he gives it.
I could name a million things I could need but that’s the only thing I would want.
