Hi: I stumbled across this video on Youtube and just had to share it. While some of the ancient beliefs about what breast milk is made from and what ailments it can cure seem a bit silly now, it’s clear the Romans really understood the importance and value of breastfeeding as a symbol of love, generosity, and helpfulness.
I bet the further you go back, the more likely it was that breastmilk was something that was shared.
