– I sometimes get questions like “Why is the search function so crap? It keeps resetting itself” …the simple answer is I agree it is crap. Unfortunately, if you do a search, then click on a profile to take a look, then click the “back” button on your browser …you lose your previous list of search results. A simple workaround is to always open a new profile in a new tab, take a look, then close that tab. But, this is obviously really annoying and should be unnecessary. To solve this issue would involve rebuilding the site from the ground up. So we are stuck with it, for now.
– Any new volunteers for reading audio-stories? I think the ones already created were pretty successful. And as you can see from the Miss Anonymous audio, you can remain totally anonymous if you prefer. If you are interested, please get in touch.
– Any digital artists/graphics people out there? I have a few ideas on improving the map images but I can’t do it myself. It needs a Photoshop type of person with a bit of creative ability. Get in touch if you might be able to help.
– You will know that pictures can not be included with Private Messages on this site, I have always kept this function switched off, mainly to deter men from pestering women with endless “send me a pic, send me a pic, send me a pic” requests. So …women – are you happy to keep it switched off? Like I said, the only reason it’s off is to reduce pestering messages (somewhat).
With all these shortcomings and annoyance, this is still best site/ forum for ABF ANR enthusiasts and searchers.
Michael, thanks for your hard work.I appreciate the fact that photos are turned off. It eliminates the endless requests for photos. I like having the ability to post photos privately (as it is set up). I might recommend more people post photos under “media”. I know I am much more likely to accept a friends request if their profile has depth AND they have some photos posted to their profile.
Hi Morgan. I don’t understand your reasoning. You like to keep your photos private, and I can’t see what you post in your media, but you want others to post photos in their media.
James, when someone has photos posted they are showing that they are at least willing to share a little bit more about themselves. Keeping photos private and only available to friends allows someone to be selective.
I commented that more people SHOULD post photos that are viewable to their friends. There are a lot of members with very short profiles and almost nothing personal. I can tell you, from a woman’s perspective, that makes it easy to click right by. The ratio of men to women is heavily skewed. It is MUCH more helpful if a member has more information posted to their profile. If I sign in amd I have 6 messages, I am infinitely more likely to respond to someone who seems more “real”. Photos, even when private and unavailable to me, provide at least the illusion of reality. I’m not here for huge blocks of time. I’ll be making quick decisions on where I will quickly have to choose to spend my time.

I’m still new so not much experience here. But I’ll say as a female online, I appreciate not receiving random cock shots lol
