Welcome back, everyone. Thank you again for your feedback and support via the comments, messages, and the main chat room. I am humbled. Thanks for letting me take you on this journey as I see it. Again, please do not hesitate to chime in via comments as you see fit. This is intended to be a community conversation.

Today, I want to dig into the other aspect of inducing lactation – the letdown reflex. One of the rare occasions where one yearns for numerous letdowns and the lack of them feels like you’ve let yourself down.

  1. Thank you Rose
It can be easy to focus on the pumping and supplements and forget/assume oxytocin release but important factor in every pumping session.

I have an article that you and readers may find interesting. Some are not relevant but many are and may start a discussion.

Have you tried aromatherapy Oils Rose? Some are shown to increase oxytocin and are often used in labour too. Clarysage and jasmine I find quite ‘heavy’ but if used with other oils that blend well, it would improve smell and still have same effect. Lavender I like on its own but for others it can bring memories associated with smell and can affect like/dislike. Again just blend with another oil 🙏🏼❤️

    1. Just to add I love the thought of an ABF meditation. I really enjoyed listening to one added too 🙂 thank you.
I find watching nursing videos very relaxing and helpful in oxytocin release (adult and baby)
I love this short french film. It never ceases to send me into presence; noticing something new in their interactions every time I watch..,

      1. Thank you Pearl.

That was a beautiful video. It can be hard to find good videos on the subject matter without it leading to a porn site or sex scene. I do understand the sexual side of it, but it’s not always welcome. I would rather see videos of these fleeting moments of intimacy without expectation, even between strangers. I would love to see more of the intimate bonding experience between people.

Thank you! This has been an amazing journey thus far.
You two ladies are quite a blessing, thank you!

    2. I know this is a very late reply, but I will second Lavender. Years ago I worked with some very special needs kids, If a kidlet was working something out or expressing frustrations a spot of lavender oil on a cloth along with rocking( we had permission if we were observed.) would often calm some very agated students. There is no reason drop on a cloth along with relaxation techniques wouldn’t be successful with let down.

  2. I love love love your updates Rose!!

So wonderful and professional!! You are able to produce informative pieces that I’m thrilled to read.

I was wondering about this drug Domperidone that I’ve heard so much about.??

Anyone else heard or tried it??

Rose, a beautiful flower between many thorns 😘

    1. Hi Suzie,

I am not currently using domperidone but I do know some other ladies are. There is a discussion forum entry inquiring about inducing without dom. There are some experienced women on that thread.

And, thank you. I am glad you are enjoying my writing.
