Hi
I was just wondering how come WA state is so dead in here?
Any ideas?
is it bad experience? what could be the reasons?June 27, 2026 at 4:28 am #764338There was someone back in 2023/2024, and she was very fun/popular, and led group video calls and eventually a meetup in Portland. Then she disappeared from this site.
June 27, 2026 at 4:43 am #764341I think the WA area is probably one of our more successful areas in the country. I see people there looking and finding fairly often and well there. I guess there could be other places that may be as good. The more densely populated areas will always be more fruitful (eg LA, NYC, TX, & KC) but there are many worse places to be (OK, NE, AR).
But I think the people there know it is a “tough neighborhood” and they need to be as goal-focused as possible because it is that important. And so, they may venture outside their town more and have less rock hard, immovable standards. And for the ones that love their land but want someone TO LOVE IT WITH even more they find a way for both. Every one here has to calculate and engineer a plan that works. Even the people in LA, NYC, TX, and KC have a totally different set of obstacles that constantly thwart their efforts. But they overcome finally. And you will too, my friend. You just have to get more creative and less whiny about it. And just that change alone will attract the women that you can grow old with.
I wish only the best for you. So get creative. It may not be easier, but it is much more rewarding.
June 27, 2026 at 2:02 pm #764438Over time I’ve chatted with few ladies from Washington state. A possible match is out there. Take some of Sam’s words to heart and keep at it. Be real with what you want and what she wants. It will work out.👍🏼
June 27, 2026 at 2:55 pm #764483Search Members shows :
120 females in Washington state, 25 of whom were active within the past 4 weeks.
But this topic does touch on an interesting question : does “scarcity” sometimes trump “abundance” ??? Because it forces you to be less rigid in what you seek?
Example : you live in the middle of nowhere, not much choice for a partner. Because of this, might you be more flexible with any possible options? Say, more open to a wider age range, etc?
As Sam said : And so, they may venture outside their town more and have less rock hard, immovable standards.
June 27, 2026 at 3:26 pm #764500The Seattle area in particular has the highest ratio of single men to women in the country
June 27, 2026 at 4:09 pm #764525There are quite a few women of WA state on here! Invited them for the ladies chat. Will mention your post if they turn up
June 27, 2026 at 5:19 pm #764546The most active Country/State/City/Town is the one you are not in. The grass is always greener on the other side.
June 27, 2026 at 10:33 pm #764640The men are too manly up there, like how Trump is over-the-top fake manly-man all the time. It’s all that flannel, and all that fresh cut lumber. Remember Kurt Kobain? Dudes up there are like mega butch, I think it kinda starts to turn women off at some point doesn’t it? Like not every woman wants to date the Brawny paper towel guy.

Like Cocaine, but no e. Speaking of K, I hear it’s hot in Paris.
June 28, 2026 at 2:02 am #764691I can only speak to my experience, but giggled at a couple speculations.
First, Washington is generally skewed toward simply having more men. In my age group, 50-65, men are more prevalent at 57% to 43% women.
We are densely populated in a few areas and very sparsely populated in more remote spots. We have islands, which require ferry travel, on an antiquated fleet largely over-run with tourists which makes getting together a challenge.
More than anything else, and the reason I’ve been largely inactive, is how people choose to conduct themselves here. I’ve had men lie about marital status. I’ve been treated like a hucow, not a human looking for a mutually satisfactory relationship. Stated boundaries have been pushed and breached. (I hane no interest in being a surrogate for your mommy, thanks.) It has not been pleasant or easy. Real life exchanges have simply been more fruitful, yet I maintain a modicum amount of hope through casting multiple nets.
It is not because all our men look like lumberjacks. Frankly, the tech and geeky men far outweigh the beefy brawny ones.
The best advice I can give is to read profiles. Ask open ended questions. Listen to the content and tone of how women express themselves. Be present. And for goodness sake don’t say you haven’t had time to reach out… when we can see you’re here for an hour or two for days on end.
Everyone deserves to find their special person. I wish each of you the best in your searches.
June 28, 2026 at 5:47 am #764748Wrenna. It is so good hearing words from you again. Guys, this woman here is a true gem and should be a treasure to all of us. She is articulate, capable, and loves everything we all love too. I hate that I don’t know more about you. And she has so much to give and share with the right man. I hope one of us figures that out soon before she gives up in despair and hopelessness. She deserves much more than that.
You are so precious, Wrenna. I want everyone to see the glory and wonder inside of you, sweet friend (that lives in a place FAR too cold for me). Please stick around here with us. I am sure your guy will get here soon if you do. And he will never be the same, but only get better, happier, and realizing of the true gift he has with you.
June 28, 2026 at 2:11 pm #764890Thank you, Sam. You say the kindest, most thoughtful things – and your words and actions always align. It’s men like you, who allow us to see there is wheat amomg the chaff… and maintain hope there might just be a few more out there.
To be perfectly candid, when we first met in 2012 or 2013 on a different platform, I questioned if I could bear the Texas heat. You are a peach, and I truly think the world of you.
June 29, 2026 at 4:51 am #765406Texas is where all the ANR/ABF is. This was decided years ago, and I haven’t heard anyone disprove it yet.
