This sounds like and excellent idea in theory. I would even like to go. Atlanta would be ideal location wise, however it may draw up more response and traffic than what can be managed. I would say start with a smaller lasser known city: Thomasville, GA, Panama city, FL, Scottsboro,AL, Chattanooga, TN. Then have next meet up be in a bigger city.

Oh, I have absolutely NO illusions that this would be easy. I’m already beginning to suspect that getting everyone to agree on a city and a date may require an act of Congress.

But I figure I’ll see if there’s enough genuine interest first, and then decide whether I’m brave enough, or stupid enough, to actually try to pull it off. 🤓🙃😉

And I hadn’t really considered starting somewhere smaller, but you may be onto something. Chattanooga especially could be fun and still gives us plenty to do without trying to wrangle everybody in the middle of a huge city.

I love your idea. With so many of us scattered all over the place and all of our different schedules, I prefer the idea of multiple meetups at different places, so that more people can come out. I live around the Atlanta area and if there was a meetup close to me, I would go to it. Keep up the good work.

I might be interested, if it is a main city on the west coast. I have little interest in Vegas, but it is an easy city with direct flights for a lot of people, so I would consider going as far east as there.

Getting to the east coast would be a bigger endeavor for me and require more time off.
