I’m still in the induction phase, I’m producing a couple of drops of colostrum with every pump (I pump about 6 times a day) and I’m producing a bit with almost every partner.

My problem is, those tiny drops make me SO HUNGRY. Like tummy rumbling hungry. And I’ve tried like a protein bar or shake but they’ve been ‘meh’.

Do y’all have any go-to snacks for the milk munchies?

Hi jasmine. Drink lots of water and there are many snacks. It depends on what your current diet. things like oatmeal and/ or lactation cookies. Let me know if thats helpful and feel free to ask more questions. This is a pretty supportive community

Also manual expressions should be added with the pumping sessions as you mentioned 6 sessions a day

I don’t do so much manual expression but I do self suckling and will massage as I’m doing that.

Absolutely do not use fenugreek! Fenugreek can harm your supply without having an established supply.

I found my post from 2023 about galactagogues, you can choose foods that are pleasurable to you and incorporate them in your diet.

Electrolyte waters are really helpful such as Bodyarmor, Gatorade or waters without additives.

Oh wow – I actually just STOPPED Fenugreek and I can tell the difference for sure, just with the small drops I’ve been getting.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll definitely look into it!
