1. If you have the ability, watch how a newborn suckles.
2. If the lady already is producing, watch how she hand expresses. Then try to simulate that with your mouth (not your lips!)NOTE: May not apply to all women, but one of my dear friends had one breast/nipple more sensitive than the other. I had to take her guidance, just for that breast, on how to adjust my suckling (style, pressure, how much of her breast I took into my mouth …) so it does not hurt her.
(This friend was very special to me. After suckling, she would let me play with her nipples as in suck and play with them with my fingers!)

June 25, 2026 at 10:31 am #763601Welcome to the “Brave New World”!
Ask your local doctor how/why high/low blood pressure/sugar is caused or why Statins are good/bad – you will very quickly find out that even the experts have no clue!
Sad but true – everybody has a platform, expert or not!!
The term “educated fool” is so prevalent these days! (3 of my sisters hold doctorate degrees and were professors of higher ed – I hear the stories! Two of them got ‘sued’ for failing ‘students’!)

@jibbysheaven I loved everything you shared and would add for practice- try pressing your tongue against the back of your upper front teeth (imagining that as your tongue under the nipple with as much areola latched as possible) and gently suck on your tongue. (Not to where you are sucking your cheeks in as that would be ‘sucking,’ not suckling. That steady rhythmic gentle pull and pressure gives the sensation of tender suckling- that can pleasurably go for hours. Think of it like a gentle wave or steady pulse drawing between long, deep, and slower draws rather than draining a hose. And no flicking the nipple. That is NOT suckling/nursing.June 25, 2026 at 12:55 pm #763620Sucking is painful but Suckling should not.

Inactiveit‘s not nearly as complicated as these well-intended posts.
as i learned when i moved here: hamburger mouth vs spaghetti mouth.
think about how your mouth/lips/jaw are different when you try to get a hamburger in your mouth vs when you are slurping up spaghetti.
you‘re welcome. 🙂
