I am sitting here, feeling really overwhelmed, and I am contemplating it. No, I do not mean death. I am talking about school, searching for my own person. My ANR.
Life really catches up to me sometimes… And I feel ….Well, just plain overwhelmed.
Lol, if I were to choose to reallocate my funds differently, I would do a vacaton for 2 months to Bali, with massages every day and a private session daily with a counselor. My dog and cat would be with me, I would take pictures and just get my homework done on the beach. Perfect food delivered each meal, daily. I would say f-it to everything and just be.
Anyway, it is how I am feeling and I hope you all are feeling much, much better.
P.S. I am not a quitter and will keep accomplishing goals. Good night!

InactiveI think we’ve all been there sometime in our lives Nici. But stick with it here, it will and does get better, though Bali sounds heavenly, especially with a forever partner in tow
March 19, 2026 at 6:34 am #718528I totally understand how you feel. I’m about to go back to school to finish my bachelor degree. Plus pay child support for my daughter who is in college also. I know you can do it. Like I know I can do it too
March 19, 2026 at 11:06 am #718558Perhaps you have too many irons in the fire. Pull a couple out and focus on those that remain. Definitely finish your schooling. Abf/anr can wait.
Gee I can’t believe I typed that.😜
Take care.March 19, 2026 at 1:02 pm #718576In recent times, I have been approached by a few women clearly indicating – some explicitly (nice that intents are obvious) and some implicitly – they expect compensation! (NOT judging but maybe there is a reality element versus the “true love” cases?)
Is that the answer? Are other men seeing this?
March 19, 2026 at 4:07 pm #718635I just did

InactiveYes, I feel that way often with work, grad school, and searching for an ANR. I will not fully give up though. I’m thinking I might just pause until I at least finish school. I’ve also thought about moving to Mexico in the summer and just studying for a month and taking it in, like with you and Bali.
We have to move forward and also enjoy life. I have never figured out how to balance these things, but maybe one day. Hugs.
March 19, 2026 at 10:46 pm #718817I honestly feel this way about ANR. I don’t think my person exist .. I literally gave up a few days ago .
March 19, 2026 at 11:27 pm #718837Believe in you, your faith, and look after yourself. The world is out there,. Finding an ANR is the dream for many, Reality sinks in. The dream fades. Life is so short. You have one life, so go do what you do best. Xxx
March 20, 2026 at 5:20 am #719334Hey there Ms Nici.
I agree with Mr Grogman, take it a bit easier on yourself. You could burn out.
I’m sure you hit “homeruns” with everything that comes your way but, be nice to yourself and your psyche. Like your house plants: When you water them you do it by short applications until all the water has been absorbed. VERSUS pouring it all at once. I cheer for your success!!!
And thanks for concluding on a positive note. Your post script was awesome:
“I am not a quitter and will keep accomplishing goals.”
Pretty inspirational stuff.
KudosMarch 20, 2026 at 11:28 am #719384I talked about life in general and feel great appreciation for all but 1 response. (Cut Tan, not appropriate to this thread hence why you received polite requests to remove your content from this thread.)
Thank you for sharing, to everyone else, for encouragement, for your experiences.
@rumina and @chochoneybunni, never give up on your person. Your partner exists and it will happen when least expected.March 20, 2026 at 12:01 pm #719394If funds are tight, look for sliding scale therapy. There are ways to get mental health on any budget. I read that money spent on talk therapy has the highest return on investment. Of course the study might have been funded by psychologists. 😆
When you can go, Bali is gorgeous. You can SCUBA dive and surf. I look forward to going back.
March 20, 2026 at 12:15 pm #719399Never quit on what you want in life and what pleasure you. Its tough and can be overwhelming for ladies here after getting so much interests and messages but pull on a couple more suitable and focus will help
March 20, 2026 at 12:56 pm #719407You’ve got this Nici. I think we’ve all been there in terms of finding an ANR partner and life. It seams that blessings happen when we least expect them. As cheesy as it sounds I truly believe there is someone for everyone.
March 20, 2026 at 4:41 pm #719466I frequently feel overwhelmed too, I think many of us here do. I hope it helps to know that you’re not alone and that there is a community of like-minded people out here.
