Blocking?

Is there a way of finding out if someone has blocked you on ABFH – or if they just haven’t visited the site since you last communicated with them? Personally, I would like to know if I’ve been blocked by someone as I can then move on (without hard feelings) – rather than being left in a limbo guessing.

You can determine when someone has last visited the site by looking at their profile.

If you are able to visit their profile page, you are not blocked.

I have always found it interesting when I visit a profile of somebody I’ve never spoken with and find that I’m blocked, the only thing I can figure is it’s something in my profile, or profile name that triggers them to the point where they feel they have to block me before I even contact them, my thinking, if you’re that close-minded good riddance

I have known blocking to be used for various reasons.

Naturally of course if you are someone that is rude and doesn’t respect someone’s wishes.

Maybe your profile sounds rude and disrespectful to the point that they dont want to even contact you.

I have even learned that there are those that will block you just because of where you live or circumstances in your life.

I agree that being blocked for no reason or at least without an understanding as to why is frustrating, but there isn’t anything that can or should be done. Just respect that choice they made and move on.

You misunderstand my query. I have no problem whatsoever being blocked for whatever reason or for no reason at all. I’d just like to be 100% clear that someone has blocked me so I waste no further time wondering if it’s happened or not.

As Michael said, you won’t be able to view a user’s profile if they have blocked you….

if you were already messaging this person and they block you, there should be some sort of notification within the conversation thread

Happened to me yesterday, getting to know someone, messaged daily, didn’t get a reply from them yesterday and looked to see after my last innocent message, you have been blocked by recipient.
