Was chatting to someone for a while, then they asked for a picture – then they blocked me for having a beard. Perhaps they could have asked me to shave rather than just coldly blocking me – people 😩
August 16, 2026 at 10:24 am #792258Are you sure thats the only reason?
You did remove yesterdays dinner before taking that pic? LolSorry. Just kidding.
Its the whole story? You sure nothing else happened?
Well, strange. You can miss people like thet. Its rude.August 16, 2026 at 12:16 pm #792287Only you know the full details of your interaction with her, so if that was her only reason for blocking you (rather than sending a polite note saying she’s not interested anymore), so be it. Everyone has their preferences in what appeals to them or attracts them, and some people choose to handle it coldly and even rudely. It happens. When it has happened to me, I choose to take it as a sign that she did me a favor by showing HER character before I wasted too much of my time. Move on and don’t let it bother you.
August 16, 2026 at 12:34 pm #792296Well damn! For the record, some of us are VERY much in favor of the beard🔥🔥🔥! Please don’t make any rash shaving decisions based on one woman’s judgment!
August 16, 2026 at 3:40 pm #792422I’ve always loved your pfp, Tim. I can’t imagine why anyone would block it or you. The beard looks great on you, do you still keep it long like that?
August 16, 2026 at 3:45 pm #792428Ive been rejected for being clean shaven and not having a beard lol.
August 16, 2026 at 3:53 pm #792437My preference is a trim beard. It’s kind of a “thing” for me. I don’t like scratchy stubble against my breast and don’t like the “too-fleshy” feel or look of clean shaven, and I can’t stand a goatee, but love just a mustache. 🤷♀️ Yeah, she could have asked you if you would be open to shaving it, but may have felt that was inappropriate or disrespectful in some way.
August 16, 2026 at 4:18 pm #792451i have gray ZZ-Top style beard, it has been issue for some, but they havent block me. its just so normal i think now days that if you dont like persons face, you just stop writing. Its not nice, but its how some do things. I wont shave, i do keep it clean and nice, trim it and not keep it like birds nest.
if someone dont like me for that, i respect it and leave it to that.
August 16, 2026 at 4:25 pm #792460I’ve not gotten blocked (I don’t think) but I have gotten rejected, quite impolitely I might add, for having a beard. I keep mine nice and clean at the neck and short-ish. It’s very soft and imo, a nice auburn/ginger color. Apparently this is a signal that I have bad hygiene and don’t take care of myself… whatever, her loss.
August 16, 2026 at 11:37 pm #792719I grow a winter beard starting in September. Shave it off in April. It’s only been an issue in the prickly stage.
August 27, 2026 at 8:56 pm #798663I have heard some women here on the site claim that ANY beard on a partner will shred their extra sensitive skin on their breasts. I hate that… but sympathize with their plight at the same time. Also many women here on the site are bombarded with daily messages from guys that have different degrees of sympathy toward her own challenges… and they become more hard toward his perspective too just because she can’t get to responding to hime just because there aren’t enough mi utes in her day. Getting a thoughtful and loving message back to someone that doesn’t seem prospective tother when her time is nowhere near enough seems hopeless. So they respond in a way that is most expedient… not caring or thoughtful.
It is just the world we live in guys. So we will just have to be men and take it. I have had those same thoughtless responses. It is a shame, but I know they missed out on a wonderful, caring and loving man that could have made her a very happy woman for life. It is quite a shame.
