I have tried domperidone and vomistop was ok for supply but that was about it. Does it make a difference on what brand of domperidone to get? I hate pumping and dont have all day to induce since I have bills to pay. I drink a shit load of water and tried all the supplements too. I do have digestive issues so maybe that has something to do with it? HALP
September 16, 2026 at 5:28 pm #810835Hi , I personally didnt notice any difference in using two dufferent brands domperidone.
Dont give up it needs time and effort. Pumping isnt the most efficient way of inducing anyway, so that thought might help.
When it comes to efficiency: 1. A mouth
( has to do with the oxytocine release when suckling) 2. Hand expressing ( google Marmet technique) and 3. Pumping. For more information you could join the Ladies Lactation roundtable, a voice chat every other sunday. I ll postvthe link
Succes!!

So may be you could tell me when you ‘ve come across a recipe for more patience? Not my strong suit. I would be grateful.
September 16, 2026 at 6:48 pm #810895I heard oatmeal helps with bringing your milk in, also try using ten units a few times a day and drink lots of fluids, there are some herbal teas you can find on Target on the nursing aisle I think it’s call mother’s tea, it may taste horrible (not quiet sure, that’s what I’ve beem told) but it also helps with bringing your milk in. And also take hot showers and do a manual breast stimulation!
Hope it helps 😊September 16, 2026 at 7:41 pm #810922Dom doesn’t replace pumping or suckling. 6 or preferably more consistent times per day with the dom and replace pumping with sucking if you have a partner as it works even better.
September 17, 2026 at 2:45 am #811176@leannon90 There is a difference amongst brands, vomistop is trash and should never be used to induce lactation. I works well for boosting supply in women that are lactating naturally from giving birth. As far as oatmeal and the bullshit teas, don’t waste your time or money. I’m not saying they do not help, they just don’t do enough.
There is absolutely no proof that a tens unit helps either, I’m not saying it can’t be fun to use, just don’t depend on it for inducing lactation. Hot showers are not going to do a goddamn thing except give you hot tits, and not in a good way.
The only thing stated above that is accurate is hand massage aka marmet massage. I am including a link in my reply to a forum post I created with various bit of info and products for inducing lactation. In that forum post you will find links to proper marmet massage.
I personally recommend the Domton brand that in-house pharmacy has. It’s either the same price or a couple dollars more than vomistop. You also do not need to pump when taking domperidone. I as well as many other women have induced without pumping, you will get better results and more milk if you do pump or hand express.
I know its hard to keep up with pumping, life gets busy, you may want to consider a wearable pump that you can use while driving to and from work. If you can pump in the morning, during your commute to and from work, and again before bed you will see noticeable results.
