I decided to order a new pump rather than wait, as my other pump(s) are in storage. I decided once again that I just love to have milk, so I’m preparing myself.
I’ve been on a deep dive of all of the portable pumps available and ended up with a MomCozy V1 Pro as it seems based on specs and reviews that it’s very powerful for a portable pump and I like some other features too like the fact that the cups stand up on their own. I am also starting with dom again.
It seems there is an ideal pump for every purpose and it makes my head spin, so now I find myself dreaming about other pumps too, but these are my dream pumps for the future:
Elvie Original or MomCozy Air – for super quiet and discreet pumping, so I could pump anywhere, even in the grocery store and nobody would know! It sucks that these are also the most expensive.
Medela Symphony – I really want to experience this one day. It is like the Cadillac of pumping. I really wonder if my emptying would be that much more efficient, but I never had the best experiences with Spectra S2 and so many rave about it, so I’m cautious and don’t have space for it now anyway.
Baby Buddha – it’s supposed to have a very distinctive long pull that is good for emptying and it’s made me very curious.
Does anyone else have like a dream pump list? If so, what’s on it and why?
August 22, 2026 at 6:02 am #795914I like the Willow pumps because you don’t have to be tethered.
I am just looking at the MomCozy V2 and it looks like a very good pump, and similarly untethered. I would like to hear how you like it.
I have induced a few times under the theory of “if I build it he will come”. I love having milky breasts but get sad when I do not have someone to share them with.
In my fantasy ANR gathering weekend I’ll have a “test drive and review” different pumps as an activity.

August 22, 2026 at 4:11 pm #796101I definitely have a dream pump list. I have the Momcozy S12 Pro, and I struggled with it HARD at first until I figured out that a push up bra works best for me. Now I actually really like it, especially on mixed mode. With background noise I think the sound is pretty discreet, but under a shirt? Not really 😂 Those batteries sitting on top are bulky, heavy, and you can definitely see that square shape through your clothes.
My Spectra S2 is still my favorite overall. I love the suction, I just hate being tethered to an outlet, so it’s not something I want to drag around when I’m at work or out doing things.
I also tried the Elvie Stride and it was super quiet, but the suction was awful for me. Even at the highest massage and expression levels, it basically felt like my nipples were being tickled instead of actually pulled. I considered trying the regular Elvie because I love the idea of something truly discreet, but I keep reading that the suction can feel even weaker than the Stride, so I’m hesitant.
My actual dream pump is probably the Medela Symphony. Since I’m inducing without ever having been pregnant, I’m really curious whether its INITIATE/MAINTAIN programming would make any noticeable difference for me. I know those programs were designed around establishing and maintaining lactation after birth, so my situation is obviously different, but I still really want to try one and see how my body responds.
And OMG, don’t even get me started on flanges and sizing. That’s a whole other thread by itself because that has been another adventure.
August 22, 2026 at 5:34 pm #796128I can do most of the things the pump(s)can do with the only exception being strong suction. Plus I can caress, massage and apply lotions and potions so the nipples are healthy and always ready to suckle.
