For me, a remarkable thing about nursing is how related it is to meditation, except so much easier and better!
I’m a failure at meditation, actually. I’ve tried many times, but my mind can’t seem to rest, and within minutes I’m back to worrying or thinking about events, etc.
However, while nursing, all that changes. The rest of the world melts away, worries are forgotten, and the past and future no longer exists. The entire universe focuses down to a nipple in my mouth, a sliver of areola peeking above, the warmth of skin, a hint of fragrance, breathing, gratitude, bliss…..
I completely agree! My senses are so heightened and it’s so easy to just be in the Now! 🕉️
I’ve only experienced dry nursing. It was six years ago. At first, I was really excited and my heart is beating fast. I’m aware of my emotional/sexual/physical need. She knows my heart is pounding and my body is quaking and she tells me slowly “be calm I’m right here.” Then, I latch and everything slows down as thoughts and worries leave. My suckle becomes slow and rhythmic. Thoughts are replaced by physical and emotional connectedness. Then her breathing changes and my thoughts turn to pleasing her.
Once we enter into the rhythm of breastfeeding the outside world gets really small.
It’s just her and I. Her nipple in my mouth. Our breathing settling into syncopation. Two hearts beating as one.I think of how much I’m enjoying it, and how I just want more and more……and more. I also think about the intense pleasure I’m giving her.
While nursing, there is nothing but calm and serenity, no thoughts just being in the moment of bliss.
Gratitude and bliss, all my worries melt away. Just the now exists.
I go numb from being relaxed
It’s true, the outside world seems to fade away, and all my troubles or fears don’t matter anymore. The only thing on my mind is the here and now – latched on to my partner’s breasts, or resting my head against them in between suckling. I’m treasuring the warmth, peace, comfort and relaxation we’re sharing, and we just want this precious time to go on forever. Minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years – it doesn’t matter.
Absolutely nothing and that’s the primary reason I like it. Meditative state. Also why it’s never sexual for me.
I think about her response and a reminder not to get too lost so as to not go too far and make her sore (unless she says she loves it super rough). If she likes it rough, then I just thinking about how into it she’s getting.
Sometimes I forget I enjoy it too cuz the part that makes me enjoy it is her response.
@alexa34544 Yes, sex would just ruin it for me. Not that there may be time for that after, but nursing first! 😋
While I enjoy it greatly myself, I’ve always never stopped thinking how to make both me and my partner more comfortable and happier.
@highdesertmilk Right on! Nursing first. Everything else is icing on the cake.
