Thank you, everyone!

@Kat I was celebrating with a friend playing pool and having my first ever Guinness. Karaoke was on the schedule for tonight at the place I was at, but I can no longer carry a tune.

Then, my friend decided to surprise me by trying to pull me out onto the karaoke floor and have people sing “Happy Birthday” to me. I figured it out as soon as I got there and made my way past her and back to the pool table. Once I finished the game and the beer, and feeling angry, I came home.

Now I am celebrating as I have when I was stationed overseas. Either way, I am celebrating.

I love my friend, but she just doesn’t understand me as well as I thought she did. If she had, she would have known how to handle the surprises properly for me.
