Kindness is very very very very powerful.
One fine day centuries ago when suffering and pain of life was very apparent to anyone with depth to see, the enlightened one was under the tree near a flowing river while giving peace to others by his very presence.
A man comes and slaps him on his cheek and the enlightened one does not react and keeps talking to his disciples as if nothing had happened. The crowd around him was stunned.
The next day the same man comes and falls at the guru’s feet, asking for forgiveness. “The one” pointed to the river, “the water in it is never the same. I don’t know what you want me to forgive you for..” the man heard the message and became a follower. Atma Sam Arpana 🙇🙇🙇. He surrendered his ego to the one and led a blissful life.
Let your words, thoughts and actions lead you forward in life. Life is a test of who is the seeker and who isn’t. Let knowledge and wisdom shine like the sun on you to guide you in this life towards everything you aspire for.
Don’t hang onto the old hatred’s that rear up their heads out of ignorance and lack of enlightenment, spread kindness.. it’s very powerful

September 16, 2026 at 5:57 pm #810848A man is completely lost and trying to find his way to a distant village. He sits on the side of the road, exhausted and confused. Along comes a wise, elderly local who knows the area perfectly. The traveler calls out to him, “Sir, please help me! Can you tell me the way and the exact distance to my village?”
The wise man smiles kindly. He maps out the route in great detail: “Of course, my friend. You must follow this main road. When you reach the fork, take a left. Walk past the large banyan tree, cross the small wooden bridge over the river, and just over the next hill, you will arrive safely at your village. It is exactly ten miles away.”
The traveler is overjoyed. He claps his hands, bows down to the wise man, and cries, “Thank you! What a brilliant, compassionate man you are! You know the path perfectly!”The traveler sits back down on the dirt road. He begins to loudly chant “Ten miles! Left at the fork! Cross the bridge! Ten miles! Left at the fork!” He spends the entire night praising the wise man’s intelligence and repeating the directions perfectly.
The next morning, the wise man walks back down the same road and finds the traveler sitting in the exact same spot, sounding completely hoarse but still chanting the directions. The wise man shakes his head and says, “My friend, why are you still here? Why haven’t you reached your village?” The traveler looks up miserably and says, “But sir! I have been praising you all night! I memorized your directions perfectly! Why am I not at my village yet?”The wise man replies, “Because you haven’t taken a single step.
Chanting the distance will not shorten the journey. Repeating the directions will not cross the bridge. You have to walk the path yourself”.

September 16, 2026 at 7:28 pm #810911There’s a quote from Bruce Lee from when he was asked how do you find peace. His response was…
You do not find peace, you create it…
You create it by which you choose to ignore, what you chose to let go and what you choose to put your energy into.
This story you shared about the Buddha, reminds me of this quote. Thank you for posting.

September 16, 2026 at 8:07 pm #810941You just made me Sigh.. I will remember that Bruce Lee quote for ever now, .. so appropriate. Him I could call “sexy” without any reservations, I have realized just now. There was nobody else quite like him since .. who took the world by storm in the martial arts world.. 🙇🙇🙇
