I totally get it. Just one of the things you mentioned could be overwhelming, you’ve got so much going on! I was feeling overwhelmed lately too and I did take a break from pumping for a little bit just to relieve some of the pressure. With my busy season winding down at work, this week should be my last 6 day work week for a while, and I admit I’ve been fantasizing about that beach vacation, I think that’s what has gotten me through this winter. Hang in there!! You’re amazing and the sunshine is coming!
March 21, 2026 at 12:17 am #719588Stick to your plan – school and prioritize yourself! No one (except your kids and pets, if you have any) deserve your attention more than what’s important now. Your school is your number 1 and pets (plus kids if you have any), but looking fir a partner is a non-important task rn. Why? Because a right man is a search for years, not over a month or a year. So, try to not to think of anr in the terms of a need, but rather a want, something that will only be a bonus eventually. A good partner will financially support you, so don’t worry about the financial part. If a right person comes along, you will feel not overwhelmed. If you have more on your plate because of your partner, move on, it is not worth it. Ihave messed up my school because of selfish partners before. Unless you wanna do your bachelor’s for a decade while selfish men suck your time and attention without contributing to your time (time is money), then tell yourself that you are getting the most out of your life – your education & company of your sweet pets! The education will get completed and you will be happy that it is over when it is.
I speak here from experience. Don’t give up. I am back and completing my degree too, it is tough at times but doable. I will not be wasting my time on anyone that doesn’t bring a value into my life. There has to be balance. When I hear “but everyone must sacrifice something” I move on. It only is that the women make sacrifices to benefit a man. I am perfectly happy on my own! And women are happier abd HEALTHIER living alone, it was studied abd data is out there! Stats don’t lie. Women have less stuff to worry about being alone. Stick to your goals now, you will be finished sooner than you think!
I am dating almost none right now, and I am the happiest as ever! The drama coming from men, lol. I just want my peace. (I get there are a few guys out there maybe compatible with me, but like probably living on another continent, lol… haven’t met one yet) — so the anr is for me a secondary goal. Gotta be realistic!
Good luck! You’re welcome to chat on DMs about your school etc. The challenges are there. Now, midterms is like 2 weeks of sleepless nights. Hang in there! It gets easier!
March 21, 2026 at 1:36 pm #719794@chili, @edward, @brian (Big hugs, my friend! I hope you are doing well), @m, and @christylynn thank you so much for your responses! Definitely appreciated! I am taking a me-vacation as soon as school is completed, for sure.
@breast4u, oh, I feel for you in empathy! You have got this- we both do! I do have both- though grown. My pets help me stay active and moving, not to mention help with grounding (Don’t Help, my cat is on me and I can’t get up!) I also spend time in church each week and scriptures daily…Though I get to admit, my scriptures has not been as it deserves for a bit with school.I have taken time off from work to focus on school, as well. SO…aside from a leadership competition (will post here about that shortly because it just hit me I could- ugh, I should have posted sooner!!!) it is just school, family and church, nothing else.
BTW, good morning, everyone!!!! Thank you, again!
March 21, 2026 at 10:51 pm #719949Thanks @hinh ! We both have school, family, and pets! I don’t have any work (except the research I do on side, unpaid of course because I volunteer my time) in terms of income.
But my school keeps me super busy and sleepless sometimes, so there are challenges.
Hang in there! Better times will come!
