Rarely do I ever block people. If I don’t like someone, I’ll just move on. Didn’t bother me if I see their name pop up or anything, I just won’t go looking for or reading their stuff. I’ve only had to block a handful of people my whole life – after I’ve made it clear I no longer wish to speak with them and they continue to harass me. Which is strange anyway, if I’m annoying you and setting off this anger so I do us both a favor and cut all ties, why does that trigger more rage and interaction lol.
I’ve been blocked plenty though and usually it falls into 2 categories. Either I see I’m blocked and think “yeah makes sense, I don’t blame you.” Or see I’m blocked and think “strange…I’ve never spoken to you a day in my life. Hopefully I didn’t piss you off unintentionally.” Either way, nothing I can do about it so no sense in giving it any more thought than that.

Yes, that snack did hit the spot 🤣.So what’s the thread for tomorrow? I think you’re averaging about one a day!
October 5, 2026 at 9:54 am #822451I was blocked because I got the covid vaccine 😆
October 5, 2026 at 10:27 am #822453“Housekeeping” might be my new favorite description for it. There doesn’t always have to be an offense, a villain, or some dramatic falling out. Sometimes you just know this isn’t going anywhere, tidy things up, and carry on. I think we give the block button far more emotional significance than it deserves.😎

The ad campaign sending out flyers! That is painfully accurate.🙄
And I think that’s where I’ve landed too. I don’t need someone to have committed some terrible offense before I’m “allowed” to block them. If it’s obvious we’re looking for completely different things, or you haven’t bothered to learn a single thing about me before landing in my inbox, I’m perfectly comfortable saving us both the time.
Some flyers are going straight in the recycling bin. 😉

Okay, you may actually be the CEO of the block button.😉
But I get it. You know exactly what you’re there for, so why keep people in the rotation when you already know it’s a no? That’s not mean, that’s efficient.
Although “premature marriage proposals” makes me feel like there are stories here.🤔

Being blocked for being the wrong John is hilarious. Although it sounds like the mix-up ultimately told you something worth knowing.
As for me, no juicy blocking scandal inspired this. I’ve just reached a point where someone deciding I’m not for them doesn’t bother me. I’m not interested in being universally palatable. That sounds exhausting.
Block away. I’ll be fine. 😉

I’m with you. Sometimes you know pretty quickly there’s nowhere for the conversation to go, so why drag it out?
And getting sexual way too fast will do it for me too. If we’ve barely said hello and I already know your entire fantasy life, I think we have enough information to make a decision. 😉
October 5, 2026 at 10:42 am #822458There really is a fine line between being someone’s biggest critic and their most dedicated audience.😉
And thank you! I’m so glad you enjoy my posts. I have entirely too much fun writing them. 😘
October 5, 2026 at 10:45 am #822460Exactly. I think the ambiguity piece is underrated. No wondering where you stand, no reading tea leaves, no unnecessarily complicated social math.
Message received. Carry on.😎
October 5, 2026 at 10:47 am #822461That part always fascinates me. You tell someone you don’t want to engage anymore, and somehow that becomes an invitation for even more engagement. 🙄
But your two reactions to being blocked are pretty much perfect. Either “fair enough” or “huh, that’s weird.” Neither requires a committee meeting.😉
October 5, 2026 at 10:49 am #822462Apparently I have a lot to say.😎
But you know what, let’s open the floor. What do you all actually want to talk about? Give me the topics you’d love to see turned loose in here. Smart, weird, sexy, controversial, completely ridiculous…I’m game.
Consider this my suggestion box. 😘
October 5, 2026 at 10:50 am #822463Well, THAT is exactly the kind of wildly specific reason I was hoping someone would bring to the table.
