    @sirise92 🤓😘

    Bill, I’m glad you brought up the double standard surrounding sexual abuse, because it’s one that doesn’t get nearly enough attention. A boy being sexually exploited by an adult woman isn’t lucky, and he certainly isn’t some little Casanova. He’s a child. The fact that people still make jokes about it is appalling.

    And you’re absolutely right about women using “slut” against other women. That’s one of the reasons I wrote this post. We’ve inherited some pretty ugly ideas about female sexuality, and instead of questioning them, we sometimes turn around and use them against each other.

    I find it particularly absurd that a woman’s sexual experience can supposedly diminish her worth while enhancing a man’s. Who decided that, and why on earth are we still entertaining it?

    Thank you for bringing some substance to the conversation. ❤️

    @winkingbird 🩷

    Jen, I love that you stopped debating each individual comment and went straight to the attitude behind them. 😂 Sometimes a question like that makes someone hear themselves in a way a dozen arguments never could. And the fact that he actually started catching himself? That’s the part I love most. A little self-awareness can go a long way. 😉

    @Jen that really does seem to be the conclusion. If you take every opportunity to discredit, insult, blame and harass women while praising and valuing every single thing any man does…then maybe women just aren’t for you lol. You just need some manners and a fitting male partner. 😂

    Hey @lolamayi12345 another great post on a very important discussion! Thank you so much!
    I also loved to read the replies!

    Three things I’d like to highlight.

    First of: feminism is about protecting a woman’s freedom to make her own choices. So true!! The beauty in this is: its so simple its hard to disagree on. A closer read should have a shock effect: how ridiculous its 2026 and still we need to discuss this basic human right for women!

    Secondly: Hurray! You are not dividing people but you are addressing it for what it is: everyones problem. We cant solve it by pointing to others, not by dividing the world into men versus women. Especially the second question you asked men is so important: what did you do?? Why are we afraid to address behaviour? It doesnt mean you reject a person does it? Please do something!!
    I would like to hear it from men: do you actually say or do something when you hear/see a man disrespect a woman? Or why is it so difficult to do? I did not read that yet.
    My bet therefore is on @showerthoughts coconuts! I LOVE Monty Python! Sad though our society hasnt changed a bit on many of the subjects they addressed half a century ago!

    Women! Yes, the uncomfortable part of this discussion! Why aren’t we more united? Why do we feel someone making different choices is rejecting us? Ask a question, talk! Try to understand, you might be surprised!
    I did not grow up in a very traditional household. Both my dad and my mum had jobs outside the home. Boys and girls were equally stimulated in education and financial independance. I, being the eldest, was told I should be able to help myself. I should pachk my bag, fix the flat tire of my bicycle at 12 etc. So my struggle is mainly being okay to ask for help, to not always carry the load on your own, i am not being too much when i ask. I thinks its not a coincidence I met a partner who let me do just that.
    Have I ever caught myself judging another woman by a standard you wouldn’t want applied to yourself? No. I am being much more tough on myself than on others. I have been caught for the opposite though.
    I am all for freedom of choices, and not assuming intentions, for respect. I do tell people (not only women) to stop being disrespectful. The usual reaction is a remark on my intentions (which they dont bother to know). So yes, by labeling me, they try to silence me. I will never accept disrespectful behaviour though. Not to anyone and also not to me.shopping for coconuts now to join the army, lol.

    Last but not least:
    By naming the labeling as an example of the way women are discriminated, we all immediately got a tool to adress this problem. We no longer can dismiss the subject by saying we can’t change the world on our own. We all can make a difference.
    Think of what’s in it for all of us! If women were more free to make their own choices, and they were not blamed for being sexual beings they would not go f@#*k every guy they could gind. But we would enjoy much more and therefore their partners would too!! Win win!

    We can about our own part in all of this this and adjust our behaviour where we might need to. Ask questions to get to know people. Forget you’ve got an opinion on a person. It works! And we can start today! This minute! Let’s roll!
