Hiii everyone. I hope you’re having a good week! I’m on my induction journey, and I’m curious if anyone that’s induced, (not had kids) that has been able to become an over producer? Or what’s your average production a day? Trying to have an achievable expectation for myself.

You can be an over producer if you have basically nothing else to do in your life and be at the pump or be suckled every two hours including at least 1-2 times overnight. That is what it will take and that is an unrealistic expectation for most.

If you are getting even a little bit in the flanges and collection cups, then you probably have much more in your actual breast. When I was getting 2-3 ounces of pumping, I had a suckler who could not empty me after suckling for two hours straight. They finally gave up, so I think the term over producer is misunderstood and misused.

I literally have nothing better to do so I guess it’s possible for me. Eventually. I guess for me over producer is basically filling the bottles every time you pump.

I have bought fresh breastmilk from a women- yes baby two years ago- who could pump 50 OZ a day. I have a partner whom I dry nurse from and she dribbles the fresh milk in my mouth (and hers) as we nurse.
PS if you can find a fresh breastmilk supply- do it- it’s wonderful. Tastes much better than refrigerated or frozen. Those two are bestbest left for cooking

@queenk If that is your situation, then you want to suckle as often as possible because it empties the breast much better and pump when you can’t suckle. The more fully you empty then the more milk you produce. You have to stay very regular and suckle/pump at similar times. Any breast and nipple stimulation is good for production. Also, consider taking dom, though you will have to investigate whether that is a good decision for you. Also, in my case I eat a lot of oats when I want to produce and they help a lot.

Maybe women give more experienced opinions but isn’t milk production goes as supply and demand? More it consumed more a woman will produce

I did not own that so much milk remains in the breasts when pumping vs suckling. It makes senses though in retrospect.

Becoming an overproducer in the absence of pregnancy is unrealistic. Women who experience hyperlactation are outside the norm as well.

Things to consider first is having a pumping schedule, pumping supplies, supplements to assist in lactation, choosing a pump that works for you and a possible partner. (I fully relactated without a partner, I’ve debunked “a mouth is better” and I was an exclusively pumping momma) However there is definitely more support with a partner and a journey for you both.

In my research, many women inducing without pregnancy aren’t knocking it out the park. Those who induce for breastfeeding purposes don’t have enough to sustain a growing child when looking at quantity. One woman I followed maxed at 12 ounces a day after six months. Others have shared stopping lactation within less than a year due to limited output.

Check out some hashtags on IG such as #inducinglactation #relactation #lactation to hear the conversations from women. Alyssa Schnell has great information on inducing.

To see what an oversupply really looks like you can hashtag #oversupply but also Lorelei.Wolfong has a crazy over supply but has had two children. She has x rated pages (never looked but it’s linked to her other page and she won a Fansly award) Loreleisecrett.

Honestly, inducing lactation is a win all by itself. Happy Pumping.
