InactiveRegards to the women in this forum, what has really helped with the volume of milk, either to maintain it or to augment it rapidly. I have tried fennugreek and it really did nothing for me except giving me a smell I did not quite appreciate.

InactiveI like Moringa. It’s the one supplement that I have really distinctly noticed a difference

InactiveI haven’t tried anything but I have read that fenugreek can affect women differently. For some it increases production, but others find that it actually inhibits production.
Not a supplement, but I’ve read that oats and blueberries can help with lactation. I’m sure I’ve seen some recipes for lactation cookies here on the site 🤔 possibly on Rose’s lactation blog.

InactiveThank you very much Jessica and Rachy. I eat well and I can get Mooring, I cook with fennel but the supplement of fenugreek did not do much for me, I had some pills that had red raspberry but that did not seem to make a difference either. I will take the blueberries, thank you for the advice.

InactiveAdding in brewers yeast wherever possible has helped me too

InactiveHave any of you tried torbagun extract? I read good reviews about it but I am not sure.

InactiveI haven’t. I heard that dates can work really well though and I’ve heard that barely malt powder is really good. I was thinking of adding some to my next batch of lactation cookies
September 22, 2023 at 8:35 pm #337701I used a tincture called More Milk Plus. The taste was terrible but it did work wonders for me when I nursed my boys. One of the main ingredients was goats rue. The capsule did not work as well as the tincture.

InactiveThank you so much Christine, I will look for that online.
September 23, 2023 at 7:11 pm #338231I haven’t had a ton of luck with natural. Doing the oatmeal and brewers yeast. I’m on domperidone. That definitely works.
September 23, 2023 at 7:21 pm #338235Has anyone tried these: https://www.legendairymilk.com/
September 23, 2023 at 8:23 pm #338263I have tried legendairy milk along with torbangun from legendairy milk.
Legendairy supplements are basically cocktails with proprietary formulation on the ratios.
Our bodies are all different. One cocktail may work well for you but the other not. The only disadvantage in my opinion is that it is relatively slow acting (10-14 days) from my personal experience. If one formulation doesn’t work then try another.
Their torbangun works faster but I had to use 3x the amount per day.
In one of my blog posts I mention this Amish lactation tea that I get on etsy. 3-4 cups of that tea were transformational. A lot of the ingredients were similar to legendairy ones but I think the tea was much more absorbable than the pills.
The supplement medium is very well a factor too.
Thanks!

InactiveGiving stinging nettle root a try. Stinging nettles are arguably the most nutritious plant on earth. All parts of the plant are good. Seeds. Leaves. Roots. The roots are known to increase the production if you are already lactating. Not sure if it would aid in the process of beginning to lactate. Easy to find and order on Amazon. $20 for 100 pills
