Hey everyone
As my Elvies have started failing, I was considering Willow Go as a less spendy replacement.
I stumbled on this review:
https://www.genuinelactation.com/blog-for-breastfeeding-families/reasons-for-willow-go-woes
It leaves me wondering what is truly the best portable pump on the market?
I liked the movie Willow.
Based on the review, will you still be getting this willow model?
I want a pump that mimics human suckling as much as possible. I want it purely for pleasure. Not for lactation.
Hi June,
I won’t be getting it. The closest to human suckling I have experienced has been with the Limerick pumps (Joy and PJ’S comfort).
The wearable Elvie’s that I use are a close second. If your purpose is pleasure and not lactation, perhaps they’d be a good fit as you wouldn’t burn them out like I did.
That’s disappointing to say the least. I’m not sure how much they cost where you are, but in the UK they’re ridiculously expensive. I’ve read that they’re a good fit for large breasts, but definitely not worth it if they don’t last long.
Unfortunately the wearable ones don’t seem as efficient as the old fashioned ones, even if the Elvie does feel very pleasurable to use. Have you tried the Elvie stride? I haven’t tried it but the pump is hospital grade and it’s also wearable.
Momcozy seems to be a popular brand on both sides of the Atlantic, although I’ve never tried it. It’s cheaper than most wearables but doesn’t look as discreet. It seems you can’t have it both ways 🤷🏼♀️
The Limerick doesn’t seem to be available in the UK.
Does it come to the same thing to buy two single Elvie Strides, rather than the twin pack version?
