– Update: Rose shares her daily lactation routine.
A Milkmaid’s Tale
– Routines and the Habits They Reinforce –
by Agent Rose
Welcome back, everyone. I continue to be amazed by your positive words of support for this blog. I am super excited to assemble this particular segment about my daily lactation routine as I actually reach my highest volume of pumping this go around.
Of further note, it’s Kazzie’s birthday! And, Pearl, I will be posting the video you requested about the PJ’s Comfort here even though it does not thematically fit.

Thank you very much Rose. I am very impressed with the time and devotion it takes to lactate by pumping. You have mentioned you have an occasional suckling. How long have you been pumping regularly?
I started round 2 of inducing on June 15th this year. I have been regularly pumping since then. So I suppose 6 weeks now.
Great update – it really is such an investment in time isn’t it? Well done Rose. I hope you get the results you’re after.
It definitely is. If I still used Facebook, I would have my relationship status to say “in a relationship with Pump” 🤣.
Rose, your blog is so amazing. Such great information, such great presentation. You know how “The Atkins Diet” became a sort of shorthand for an approach to losing weight? Well… there’s a good chance folks might start referring to “The Rose Method” when talking about inducing lactation. Wouldn’t that be lovely!
Thank you, Michael. I can’t really claim anything as Rose’s method except for my daily tracking.
I appreciate the sentiment though.
Grogman, I am an engineer too. It is one massive DOE with many variables that I have reduced to two.
Hurry up and get to Time Lord status. We need teleporter technology STAT!😅
Really enjoying this series. I think it’s going to be both a great firsthand account as well as instructional guide for the users of this site.
P.S. always good to see another Oregonian on this site! There’s dozens of us, dozens! I’ve moved to Texas but Oregon will always have a special place in my heart.
Thank you, Dylan.
It really shows its alot of time and effort which Is why it cracks me up when people come on the site and go I’m looking for a milky woman It’s like how about you get to know them and help them on their way everyone wants to easy way out
Yesss Joe!! You get it!!!
Thank you!!!
Yes, Joe. It is my understanding that some actually enjoy assisting with bringing in the supply.
I find it funny as well when I am asked by some people in other venues “reach back out to us when you’re properly milky.” In my mind, I say “ummm no, you get the block button.”
Rose! Where do I find a syringe like that?
I had them when I had young children
But now a days where can I find one?
Your idea is good, measuring for the day!!
Hi Jules
They are available real cheap on Amazon.
I accidentally bought a box of a 100 for $15 😅. They say single use on the packaging but I reuse mine.
Yes!! After I posted that I went onto Amazon and found one! Your idea is awesome to collect for the day and then see how much at the end with the syringe filled up!
If I was only dedicated to pumping like you! I’m a slacker!!
🦋
Thank you Rose!
The information you share is greatly appreciated!
I do have one question if I may. I noticed that the morning pumping schedule is about every three hours. The afternoon it changes to two hours.
What is the reason for the time change?
To accommodate for my work, Dennis. If I could get away with every 2 during the day, then I would.
I see, thank you!
Thank you Rose, really informative and thanks for the video of how the PJ comfort works. Do you find the PJ the best pump you’ve used? It’s the first one I’ve seen like that without suction of the nipple.
Loving your graph, what a great way to monitor ❤️ Exciting too, that you now have milk via the pump 😀
I find PJ’s comfort to be the best I have tried for the plug in sort of pump.
Thanks so much Rose. All your hard work and extensive research and information has been so helpful. I’m just starting out with induced lactation and you have been a wealth of information. I can’t thank you enough for your blog posts.
Thank you, JW2N.
Hi Rose! I love all your blog posts. When you induced, did you use medical galactogogues such as domperidone or reglan, or did you simply just pump on a schedule along with your oatmeal and other supplements? Thank you in advance for your time! ❤️❤️
