I sometimes wonder, is it just me or does everyone keep their desires for breast feeding secret from the world? Secret from their friends, family, loved ones…..

For me, it’s certainly not for fear of being judged nor that I’m unwilling to own something that brings me so much peace and yet, I don’t share. Perhaps, it is for fear of breaking the human connections that I do enjoy and value.

So my question to all of you amazing humans that share this interest with me.

Do you keep it secret from everybody?

Is that why we feel a sense of community on this site?

    Who do you share with?

Personally, I don’t talk about it with anyone outside of the adult breastfeeding community. I don’t think people understand. People usually associate it with adult babies. I know there are some people who are into that and I’m not judging, but I wouldn’t like people to make that assumption about me.

Absolutely keep it on this site; never share with family or friends. If I was dating someone and became more involved that would be different, I would consider raising it with an intimate partner. But family and friends? No way. We don’t discuss intimate issues as a rule, especially not one that is perhaps considered niche. Definitely part of the reason there is the community on here.

I’m lucky in as much as it was my late husband who introduced me to the joy of an ANR and he had learnt of it from his own parents (who were and still are in an ANR to this day, after almost 50 years on from their first suckle) His siblings have all at some point also been in respective ANR’s with their respective spouses and so adult breastfeeding is spoken about prettty openly, especially among the women. Suffice to say every man in my in-laws family knows the taste of their own wives’ milk!

My own mum and 2 sisters know that my husband suckled from me and that our plan was for babies and my milk to be equally available to their daddy as it was to them. Alas though, that was not to be. I’ve also discussed it with 2 friends who I originally met on an old ABF site (one is a professional adult wet-nurse, the other is researching potential benefits of breastmilk/ABF).

Hi Lucy, is it actually legal to be a professional adult wet nurse? I’m looking for a change of career!

Definitely still on the kink side for most people, so that keeps it private. Ironically, as others have alluded to, that makes this site extra special. It’s a place where devotees and others who are just curious can all come and feel safe, accepted and welcome.

Maybe some day it’ll be more mainstream, but who cares . . we all know where we can find our ABF family ❤️

    Hi Rachy,

I’m not a lawyer but I understand that it comes under the same laws as the sex industry.

On that basis, I would say it’s legal to accept payment in return for somebody suckling on your nipples, yes. The risks are that, assuming you have milk and your clients drink it in the process you could in theory be sued if they caught an infection or suffered any ill effects from you and insurers don’t offer cover for sex workers lol. It is illegal to sell breastmilk (though people still do online) because that comes under the food laws and you can’t sell bodily fluids because of the risk of infection etc too. That I think could only apply to expressed milk though, not straight from the tap lol.

The professional I’m in-touch with is in an ANR with her husband of 30 years but has approx. 15 clients whom she sees once or twice a week who each suckle from her for up to 2 hours and all in London. They are mainly very rich businessmen and she is very strict about keeping it all non-sexual.

Thanks Lucy. Yeah I know it’s illegal to sell breast milk. In theory, if someone caught something from anyone, they could wrongly assume it was from someone they drank breast milk from. But then I suppose if they accused someone of infecting them, the accused would presumably be able to clear their name by getting tested. I realise you’re not a lawyer, but is that your understanding?

I “came out” about it (and my malesub traits) to some friends and family earlier this year. They were chill about it, if not a bit amused. Definitely an “oooh…” moment, connecting the dots. I didn’t mind. 🙂

It’s all about who you speak to and how they perceive the desire and how the respond there way too many judgemental people in this world so I’d say share but tread carefully.
