Just thinking would it be better to have two sites – one for Europe and the other for rest of world. Would make searching a bit more refined. Any thoughts folks ?

But I never quite get why people find it difficult to search this site. But then again, I would say that, wouldn’t I?
Does the Search function need to be more refined? Please elaborate. I’m always interested in new ideas.

Ah ok! I get what he is saying now. So for the US you pick the country you are from and if you are from the US you also pick the state you are from. While in the UK you just pick the UK and that’s it.
It’s not that the site is difficult to search, it’s just that there are a lot other countries joining and maybe it would be easier to have country specific
Tim, I am reluctant to divide the site up into country-specific sections.
The benefits that brings – (immediately easy to see who is recently online near you, personal ads only relating to your country etc.) – would be far outweighed by the downside: everyone compartmentalized, nobody reads anything by anyone outside their area etc. Suddenly the site would look very empty, unused, dull. Especially for those outside the USA.
At the moment, with everyone lumped in together, it looks busy. It encourages interaction.
That’s my opinion, at least.
