I’m calling it quits. After over a decade of frustration, cat fishing, missed connections, bad chemistry and ghosting, I feel this sort of relationship is not healthy for me. It’s an obsession masquerading as shared interest, laden with unavoidable objectification. Still, I might have been able to sort it all out if there was a larger community. I’ve tried to meet many, but after literally driving somewhere in the neighborhood of 5000, I’m left feeling spent, jades and downright ridiculous. I take my hat off to those lucky enough to find there matches, and wish better luck than mine to those that are still chasing. Good Bye. 2006 – 2024

Sure wish ol Anonymous would have at least said where they are from, leaving the door wide open for a true gentleman to step in and finish the job ☺️

Interesting … PW above assumed that the Anonymous person was a woman. I assumed Anonymous was a man.

But it’s unclear. Does the reference to “objectification” imply the writer is female?

    Intriguing.

I assumed from “cat fishing” that it was written by a male, although I don’t think that’s gender specific to be fair.

I’ve chatted with many men who aren’t honest about who they are and their situation, usually married/have a partner and/or children they don’t admit to, claim to be moving to my area when they currently live thousands of miles away etc. I suppose that could be termed as cat fishing.

Patience is the key word. There are many factors to feel connection. Age, race, distance are some important factors. Plus everyone has their own ideas of ANR and ABF. And yes, some are not honest about their situation and motivation.
All I can say is, Abfheaven is a good active community of like minded people. It would be nice to see more people finding their partners. I’ll be still happy to share our mutual interest.

I also got the impression that the original poster was a male, as the competition pool for the men is so large

Even virtually, this adult nursing community is the minority of all minorities.

I was reading comments on a post about encouragement in the Koran for women to breastfeed their husbands. The comments were vicious. Denouncing everything about adult nursing. P4edos get less vitriol.

I’m at a loss as to how to change the conversation from derogatory sniggering to wholesome enquiry.

But this means the stark reality of ANR being a lottery that makes Euromillions look like fishing for salmon in a barrel.

As a woman, even aside from the catfishing and dumb games some men play, I don’t kid myself that being fortunate enough to have a mutual head over heels ANR will be plausible.
