We’re able to post status updates, but unless someone views our profile they will remain unseen.
Perhaps add a status update section to the main page? It would let visitors know that the website is active.
You mean the “What’s new?” bit on your activity page?. This shows alongside your pic/avatar in search results. But this is only visible to members, not non-members.
I don’t want to make the front page too cluttered, it already shows Recent Visitors, Recent Forum posts, Latest Personal Ads.
Anyway, thanks Londonman, I will have a look at ways of better showing activity & engagement.
Personally, I constantly look at the Recent Visitors list.
Yeah that’s the section. Ah I thought everyone could see it. It was like that on abf.org. There was an activity ‘log’ showing recent replies, status updates, etc.
Fair enough, wouldn’t want to clutter up the home page!
