Random message “pop” sound

Is anyone else hearing the message notification sound, only to not receive any messages?

This often happens when I’m on another tab.

The pop-sounds and small notification window seems a bit erratic at times. Even for me.

Londonman, you can turn the pop sound off. Go to your Messages page, cog icon at bottom of messages list window.

Yep. Happens all the time. So much so, I ignore it now.

So ..to clarify …this happens when exactly?

1 – You have the ABFheaven front page in one tab, you are looking at another ABFheaven page in another (active) tab, you hear a phantom pop?
2 – You have ANY ABFheaven page in one tab, you are looking at another website page (not ABFheaven) in another (active) tab, you hear a phantom pop?

Which devices you notice this on? Iphones? Computer? Any device?

Seems to happen randomly when I’ve got ABF heaven open on a tab while browsing another website.

Also happens when I have chrome running in the background while I’m doing something else on my phone

Hi. I really need to know if this happens only when you have the ABFheaven homepage (chatroom page) open in another tab/in the background. It’s possibly a chatroom issue causing this, rather than your own Private Messages.

Ah yes come to think of it, it only happens when on the main page

The pop noise isn’t just for messaging I get the pop noise for the chat as well

Joe: when you are looking at the chatroom, for every message that someone adds to the chat, you get the pop sound?

Ohhhh it seems like when you have your email open in the back ground..

I’ve noticed I get the pop sound when someone writes a new message or someone writes in the live chat. Depending on which page I have it open to. You just have to close your browser window if you don’t want to hear it. I don’t think it’s an issue though and I like it. If I’ve jumped out to search something up then I hear the ding and can check the chat 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sometimes I get a pop for a couple messages other times. It sounds like a machine gun of pops when I log in.

I get the pop and the small message “teaser window” in the lower right even for messages I have read days ago. It seems random. This in on Win 10 Firefox

I don’t hear the pops. I guess I’m not getting enough messages 🤣🤣🤣
