Hi, beautiful ladies! 🌹
I hope you are all doing amazing! May be a tmi question for some, but I am curious to learn – For those who are lactating, have you noticed that during ovulation, there is less of the “egg white” cervical mucus? I started to notice this happen at the same time as my milk is increasing, wondering if anyone else has experienced it? (Some more pertinent details- each month i feel my ovaries ovulating around day 13-14 of my cycle, and around day 28 I start to bleed 🩸 each month) – thank you lovely ladies for reading! ♥️ Have an amazing day

InactiveYeah that can happen, as it affects your cycle. Some women stop ovulation completely, although it’s still a good idea to use contraception if you don’t want to get pregnant, as it’s not a reliable form of birth control. Hence I have cousins 10 months apart in age, who were in the same school year (grade) but not twins 🤦🏼♀️
January 13, 2024 at 10:26 pm #380751Thank you for your response! It’s fascinating – I read that the suckling stimulates prolactin which can suppress ovulation. Although I still got pregnant while lactating and not getting the eggwhite during my cycle, so I definitely feel you on the importance on using birth control if not trying to conceive!

I’ve never had milk but yes, you will likely find that lactating messes with your cycle and usually the more milk you produce and the more often you are suckled, the more disturbed your cycle will be.
My parents-in-law actually managed to use ANR for natural contraceptive purposes (they are Catholics) with him suckling 8 times a day religiously and supressing her ovulation as a result ans all of their children are approx 2 – 2 1/2 years apart. They have kept it up even long after she went through menopause and he currently suckles at least 6 times a day and my Mum-in-Law can still produce around 2 pints of milk a day.
January 13, 2024 at 11:07 pm #380774That is such an awesome story! Thanks for sharing – it’s so lovely to see ANR as a normal part of happy marriages!
January 13, 2024 at 11:51 pm #380810Very much so in there case and how I leaned about ANR in the first place. My late husband anted the same for us as his parents have. Sadly it wasn’t to be but from what I have seen and experienced it certainly is wonderful.
