If you are solo pumping, and only pumping, how would you know if you have milk if the pump can’t express the milk? Do you have to manually express?
As I’m typing I tried manually expressing & just got fluid. Lol.
Manual expression is a chore, ladies.
It is definitely a chore, but the best way to beat way to empty the breast even after you are getting milk. Keep at the pumping and expressing. Progress will come 🤗
Agreed. You’ve got fluid. That’s a good sign.
I think I probably had milk before I realised because I can’t get anything out with pumps but I can by hand expressing.
Do you think that had a negative impact on milk production? Because you weren’t “emptying?”
I honestly don’t know. I’m not making much but I made loads when my kids were babies. I don’t mind the fact that I’m only making a bit because I’m only being suckled occasionally. If I had a regular partner to empty my breasts day and night that would be different lol!
