Suggestion: display the registration date of users at the top of their profile. It would simply say …
“Member since: (registration date)”
Good idea? Useful info? Necessary? Pointless? Bit embarrassing if you’ve been here for a long time & still no partner? 🤣 (yes, Admin, that’s YOU!) …

UPDATE: most users seemed to think this is a good idea, so it is now active. You’ll see it on all profile pages near the top, next to (round) profile pic and below “active xxx minutes ago” doohickey.`pointless

I think it’s a good idea, esp is someone has just created a new account, I can be a bit more cautious about them if they text
generally too much information may be better than not enough. the main downside may be if people are treated differently based on that one piece of additional information.
Tbh I think it would help cut down on female bot/spammer accounts, which tend to come in quick and leave quick.
I didn’t think it was needed until I read Treasure Chest’s reply. Might not be a bad idea !
Some seem to think that a recent registration date may call for caution because of possible bot spam or dishonesty in a new account. That may be reasonable.
Is there a better way to weed out such accounts before someone is fooled by them? Perhaps a probationary period? Is that technically possible?I would like to know how long someone has been a member of the site, it could be helpful in deciphering whether a person’s behavior is related them being new to anr/abf or if they are just inconsiderate.
I’ve always used the ‘newest registered’ sorting option in the members’ search filter to check which members have been here longer than others. But adding such a detail to their profile page as well might be worth a try. You can always take it off again later if people don’t like it.
