Hi there I’m new to abf. I’m working on relactating. Looking for any help along the way. Hope this community can help!
June 20, 2025 at 1:16 pm #596290Good luck, it’s hard work, have tried several times unsuccessfully to get a woman to try to lactate. Don’t get discouraged.
June 20, 2025 at 2:12 pm #596310Where have you been sucking?!
June 20, 2025 at 2:40 pm #596316Wow you guys are a big help 😒
1. Get an automatic breast pump and a nursing bra that lets you pump hands free. Preferably the brand medela for the pump. Feel free to ask around though.
2. Massage and hand express for 2 minutes before and after pumping.
3. Pump for 30-40 minutes every 3-4 hours
4. There are supplements you can take such as domperidone i think that’s how you spell it lol. That is the most effective but can kill your supply once you stop taking it. If I was a woman I would personally induce without it.
I’m gonna link you to a woman who’s induced and has been lactating for awhile for a second opinion as she is more educated than I am she may tell you different. https://abfheaven.com/members/daydreamer/

June 21, 2025 at 4:52 pm #596743Hi Allie,
Induction is a nice thing. The overall journey of discovery is wonderful whether solo or with a partner. Find peace within yourself and move it outwards and all will be well. Lots of resources on this site to help your journey. Best of luck.
June 21, 2025 at 11:29 pm #596861Hi!
I’m inducing lactation and I have a daily log on reddit that talks about my personal journey. Now… it’s reddit, so there’s my “Milky Notes” (logs) are rated M for mature. I’ve geared my language to attract an audience who is mature and able to lean into the intimacy of it rather than the fetish-thrill seeking.
In case you don’t want to add another social media to the list, here’s some things that are helping me. I’m on day 24 and am able to have a few drops of milk come!
Supplements:
Cash Cow (on Amazon)
FenugreekRoutine:
I pump 4-7 times a day. Before work, lunch break, after and before bed are my usual times
I massage 3-4 times. I let my body tell me when. So if I feel a full or warm sensation in my breast, then.
Lastly, compassion for yourself. You’re human, if you miss a pump or supplement that’s okay!It sounds like a lot, but I like to use it as a way to do self-care. Being soft and tender with myself is wonderful and great for my mental health. Not to mention the heightened hormones that come a long with lactation. It’s become a full habit and now my few drops of milk come in quickly when I pump. Each day is better than the last!
Wishing you luck 💕
June 23, 2025 at 9:45 pm #597606Just a small word of caution, most supplements that include fenugreek are best started after milk comes in, as it can be used to increase supply, but in some women delays initial production. This is backed by many sources and accounts, so it is just something to be aware of in your journey.
June 25, 2025 at 4:52 pm #598524Physical stimulation is key, so be as regular and consistent as you can with that. However, please don’t get obsessed by the outcome because there are no guarantees. Don’t see it as success or failure and always remember you can be a wonderful partner with or without lactation. Good luck.
