I’ve added a “voice messages” function to the Private Messages system and the chatroom. Looks pretty easy to use, there’s a mini mic button you can use to record and send an audio clip. To send a normal text message just start typing as normal and the mic button switches to the standard “send” button.
For now, this feature can be used by any member to send a voice message to any other member. Let’s hope it doesn’t get abused to send annoying, pestering messages. If so, I will look at restricting it to between Friends Only.
But for now, it’s open to all. So have some fun with it! It’s often so much nicer to hear someone’s voice rather than simply reading text messages.
Leave some feedback below please if you like it or hate it. Or whatever!

Good idea of the “just friends” filter.
BTW Lady O now ranks right up there with Neil Armstrong. 😜

InactiveThank you Michael. Do audio messages disappear after 24 hours also?

InactiveHi Michael, I know it is not part of the subject but I just want to let you know that several times I got messages or someone accepted my friend request, usually the Notification Icon on the upper right corner next to my name should have a number or lets me know that I have a messages, Friend Requests, and Someone accepted my friend request. But now it does not work.
Again I know its not part of the subject here but I just want to let you know what I have experience.October 14, 2021 at 10:41 am #44267Barbatos, I’ve sent you a test private-message, and a test friend request …both have triggered the blue indicator in your menu …not sure what the issue is you are describing …send me a Private Message if it persists please
