I find it hillarious that you use “intelligent people” and then the word manor in the same sentence. That is my sign that a person isn’t worthy of my time. Not really but add that to the rest of your comment and that in a manner of speaking IS a sign for me.

Lmfao @ Lacto. As usual he nails it with grace and unbridled cynicism.

I didn’t proof read because I don’t care that much. I let autocorrect have it’s way. As far as my intelligence is concerned I am an actual tested genius so don’t worry about me. Kik is about the only app left that lets people not use a phone number (ie anonymity). I only use it to sort though the nut jobs and scammers. It has a great block so it’s perfect for the application.

Well, after asking this, I am reminded that people are people. Some are jerks. Some aren’t. Maybe I won’t seek advice here any longer. Probably will ’cause like so many, I don’t give a fuck. I have learned blocking on this website does nothing really. And creepers will insist on being in your business no matter what. I’m not into jerks or creepers. But ya gotta step on a few toads to get to a few princes.

I use kik, so I don’t have to give out my phone number. It’s just as fast as texting. Also, you can share live pics. I’ve had a few guys send pics that are clearly fake or really old. Kik will show if it’s a photo taken with your phone camera or one taken from the gallery.

Yes, there are some creeps on there… but honestly it’s not any different from other messaging apps.

People use Kik because it allows for Live Photo or video verification. Say you’re not ready to give your number and want to know if the person you are talking to is really who they say they are. You ask them to take a Live Photo with the kik camera. It will say “camera” underneath the photo if it’s them. I won’t continue to get to know anyone without it. I’ve had a few who have made excuses about why they don’t use it that made no sense to me. “Bad review in App Store” or “I got hacked on kik”. Um no, you’re ending our discussion because of that? No. It’s because they’re not who they say they are.
