If you have many messages sitting in your “inbox” then this can cause the Messages page to load very slowly for you.
It’s a good idea to delete as many as possible if you can, this should make the page load much faster.
As Admin I obviously send/receive many messages, after deleting as many “threads” as possible I reduced the number from hundreds down to under twenty, now the page loads quickly.
