I have some questions for ladies who have induced, and for fellows who have supported a partner through the journey.
– How long did it take before you saw drops every day?
– Did you get nipple zaps that were painful inside the nipple itself (not surface soreness)?
– What helped you move from dry pumping to seeing drops consistently?
– Did you experience letdown reflex before you saw drops?
– If the relationship is or was long distance, how did you support each other when you couldn’t be there physically? Thanks ever so much for any advice you can give.

September 11, 2025 at 5:39 pm #633944I’ve attempted years ago, but the time wasn’t right. This time feels different in a very meaningful way, and physically feels quite different so I’m hopeful.
At the end of July I began pumping 2-3 times a day. Then 3 weeks ago I started pumping on average every 3 hours, including once overnight. I massage during pumping as well, which makes a big difference.

September 11, 2025 at 6:40 pm #633979Here is what worked for me. I started in october pumping 5 times a day. Didn’t take long to see colostrum. By about December I was seeing a smearing of milk on the nipples. I dont have a consistent suckler so I have done a lot of the work on my own and dont rely on the mouth. I decided to start with supplements in late winter and they really weren’t doing much for me. I lost patience in about January and decided to order domperidone. That was the boost I needed to be able to make better progress. Unfortunately the pump doesn’t do much for me in getting milk. I hand express most of the time because I see a better result. My suckler is able to get full from me now even though I don’t see much from pumping and hand expressing gets me some. I dont feel a lot of let downs but the nipples tingle when they are full. I can also feel the boob filling with milk once I have been suckled. I recently heard if goats rue root and that seemed to increase the supply some but had to go off of it. I have also heard brewers yeast is good but havent tried that yet. Hope this is helpful. FFeel free to reach out with any questions. I am still trying to figure it out myself, lol
September 11, 2025 at 6:59 pm #633983Thanks K, that is helpful! It seems like so much trial and error.
I’m telling myself to be patient but when my whole body is feeling like milk is imminent and I don’t see it consistently, it’s frustrating.
September 11, 2025 at 7:28 pm #633989Yes, I feel a lot more milk than I ever see. I have to rely on my partner to gauge how much there is sometimes. I can tell when the supply decreases some though. It is all voodoo in my mind and it is different for everyone.
September 11, 2025 at 7:47 pm #633994It really helps knowing someone else feels a lot more milk than they see!
When my partner is here next I hope he gets a tummyful, even a taste would be encouraging.
September 13, 2025 at 7:22 am #634422It took about 2.5 years of doing it constantly several times a week
