Normally, I would get fitted for a bra at a big-box store such as Lane Bryant or Soma.
Recently, I treated myself to a professional bra fitting at a boutique, and I’ve never had a better experience shopping for bras!
This woman spent a good 45 minutes to an hour helping me find the perfect bras. She didn’t just focus on band and cup size; she also knew which bras worked best for my breast shape and comfort. She made sure there was no gapping, slipping straps, or spillage anywhere.
She’d have me walk around the store, jump, sit, dance, etc., to make sure everything stayed in place. If there was even the slightest hesitation, she’d tell me not to buy it. However, if I wanted to try it again at my next visit, she’d make a note on my account.
She discovered that my band size was too big and my cup size was way too small!
Also, for the first time in my life, I was able to find a cami top with a built-in bra that actually fits and supports my breasts (36I) without having to wear another bra underneath!
Needless to say, I highly recommend that every woman get a professional bra fitting if possible. You might be surprised by how much of a difference it makes!
I’m on Reddit a lot, and r/ABraThatFits is a really popular subreddit. I have no idea why so many of its threads show up in my feed, but one thing is clear: finding a bra that actually fits makes women incredibly happy!
I came to cosign getting a professional fitting.
Locally here in Atlanta there is a new store Rigby Peller (I doubt they have my size) that may help someone. I personally went to a different boutique in Kennesaw. I walked away with a 36K in European sizing last time I got a fitting.
I really want to explore Russian bras because those were the best fitting and the most comfortable but the most $$$$.
Edit: The store I went to was called Livirae Lingerie, it was a good experience.
