The hind milk as it’s called is supposed to have a few factors that are useful for the infant.. I don’t remember everything I read but re: what it’s good for.
I am sure every woman on the site is accessing the cost of being on here and inducing at this point in time 🙂
Supplements, time, effort, will etc. seems to be in the woman’s favor as to the whole process. At the same time, the back pain, the weight of the bosom they add to the cost of such a process…
February 16, 2026 at 6:25 pm #704622The bottomline is the price is what the person is willing to pay
Eg
Something is worth the price quoted if the person is willing to pay if not that’s fine you don’t have to commit until you find what you want at the price you are willing to payFebruary 16, 2026 at 6:25 pm #704624Remember she will be taking time away from being with her child and for that there is no price.
February 16, 2026 at 6:27 pm #704629Thank you @ ms Spicy
Lots of folks seem to forget that “minor” detailFebruary 16, 2026 at 6:39 pm #704643Thanks for all the great comments! Out of curiosity, I decided last night to get back in touch with a wet nursing “prospect” whom I had first began messaging with back in October via my Dreams of Milk ad. I had decided not to go any further with her when she told me that her hourly rate is $300. Her babysitting fee is $200. But I wanted to get her take on the pump thing. She’s only been nursing her months old son for a short time, but she said she will soon will be wanting anyone nursing her to use a pump.
Now get this….she shared with me that she currently has three ANR clients, ranging in frequency from every 9 days to twice a week. They all have their own pumps! Sounds like these guys have been part of the wet nursing scene for quite some time. One is a truck driver who is very generous with her.
So it looks like I’ll be getting myself a pump if I want to explore the wonderful world of wet nursing. Any suggestions on one at a “reasonable cost”?
February 16, 2026 at 6:47 pm #704651I mean ask her which ones her other clients use and see what the cost is and choose from there is what I would say. But reasonable cost for a pump is prob 150-250 I mean there are more expensive ones for sure but I think that’s the average for a decent one.
February 17, 2026 at 5:00 am #704970Babysitting rate is way too high per hour! The rate for wet nursing is very reasonable imo. I could wet nurse someone for 200 per hour. But, if my kid needed babysitter (he doesn’t need it anymore) it would be like anywhere in the $20 at most per hour, maybe $30/hour if it was some special care for those two kids.
Breast pump: I got a Mom’s Cozy – you can really get any kind that is strong. She only needs it 2-3x a month. Get something for ~100-150$. Or, she can bring her own. It is weird she can’t bring her own. (Saw your other comment and maybe it is a right thing that you will have one.)
About you asking if she needs to empty her breasts – yes. I wasn’t high producer and in order to produce e ough I had to pump about 12x a day/night after each feeding my kid so I kept my production going.
However, if she has hospital grade pump, she should bring this one with her, it would be best.
Do not buy a 300$ pump. She does not need it, nor you.
Discuss this. See what she says. If you guys can’t find some understanding on this, stay patient and ask someone else, if possible.
Two sides must really be comfortable with everything and agree on everything. If there is something you don’t feel comfortable about and can’t resolve it, move on.
Also, men thinking it us easy to produce milk, or cheap, please stop commenting a woman is milking someone for money. Supplements, diet, and supplies related to taking care of the body and items needed – none is cheap. A man has small idea of how hard it is, especially the hormones tgat rage to a crazy level of depressive moments. How much would someone pay for that? I feel like some disrespectful comments come from very disrespectful men out there. Please, don’t listen to those men that are broken financially and jealous you actually can afford gratitude of someone else’s time to share wet nursing with you. Please, keep their identity to yourself, too.
Check the Mom’s cozy pumps! They have some closer to 200 in cost that go on sale once in a while and try to find something that is maybe in the 150 after sale. Those should be nice quality to be strong enough. I tried few models, not sure what I really like in the end. I don’t think anything is gonna be as strong as the ones from actual hospital.

February 17, 2026 at 5:22 am #704974Thanks Kate…..Yes, it is indeed quite odd that the sitter fees for both of these women are so high in relation to their hourly nursing fees. That old phrase “It is what it is” would certainly apply here.
I’m going to take my time before deciding which of these two women to go with. In the meantime, I am extremely fortunate to have a weekly dry nursing partner who doesn’t “break the bank” 🤗
February 17, 2026 at 5:43 pm #705171FYI
Babysitting cost has gone high in recent years. 2 kids is 25 plus and hour to start. And having someone like last minute or on call might be why it’s more expensive.
Remembers if sitter flakes out and they do it means you don’t get a session. I paid a crap ton for child care and kept my sitter happy otherwise I couldn’t go to work.February 17, 2026 at 8:21 pm #705237Lizz,
You hit it on the head….no session if sitter craps out….AND a hotel room res is wasted. Gonna plan on hosting if I go ahead with this. Meanwhile, I’m hosting a brand new dry nursing prospect tonight 😊
February 25, 2026 at 9:24 am #708145So, my would be wet nursing partner with kids, 8 & 2, messaged me today, telling me the pump she wants me to buy for us, that I would keep handy when she comes to visit me. She spotted it under “Best Electric Breast Pumps” on the Dreams of Milk site. She said it’s made by Golden Mother, Maker of Cozymom. She said it goes for $260 or $350 “with everything”. She is chomping at the bit to place the order. I told her I wanted the model number, but she said she would not know it until she actually goes to order it. (Let’s all shout out a big LOL at once! 🙂
I’ve finally decided that this whole insane idea of me buying a breast pump to accommodate her health concern about her toddler is a complete non-starter. The exclamation point on my decision came when I realized that her pumping time would extend the amount of time needed for the babysitter, already in the $140-$170 range. I’m waiting for her to tell me how long this post session pumping would take before I tell her this thing is over.
As a young John McEnroe screamed to the line judge on that disputed out of bounds call way back when…..
“You cannot be SERIOUS!!!” It’s worth finding on YouTube.
I want to thank everyone here who took the time to chime in on this pumping madness, especially Keith from “across the pond”. I’ll just have to keep looking until I finally find a wet nursing partner without kids. Meanwhile, I just found a new dry nursing partner 😊

February 27, 2026 at 3:18 am #708750No kids on the schedule makes things easier and more flexible. She also will worry less.
And I agree that the breast pump was a weird asking, maybe splitting a cost if she wanted to keep it abd keep washing it and bringing herself because pump needs to be sterilized after use (you need to get a thing to wet sterilize pump parts, btw). So, I think she should bring her own, at best asking you to cheap in for new one, so hers doesn’t go bad too fast.
But, the time of pumping is the time spent with you, and since she has to drain both breasts fully, it is part of a session. But one breast while you finish first can be emptied when you are on her, then when you are done with a second she can pump the second one and you can go back on a first one again, this way, you could have a bit of extended time on the breasts and she wouldn’t need any more pumping.
I hope you find a good match! Sorry,it didn’t work out.
