I’ll preface this by saying I’m currently in a loving, trusting relationship and we’ve recently made the step into ethical non-monogamy. Over the years I’ve read a few titles like happy (derren brown) and self deception (the arbinger institute) which have all been fascinating and certainly helped in my development. They’re not relationship books per se but definitely helped me reframe my interactions with others.

I’m curious to know if any titles out there have resonated with you in your own journeys (regardless of relationship dynamics) and why.

    Thanks in advance.

You should definitely read Esther Perel…”Mating in Captivity” and “The State of Affairs”

Esther takes on tough questions, grappling with the obstacles and anxieties that arise when our quest for secure love conflicts with our pursuit of passion. She invites us to explore the paradoxical union of domesticity and sexual desire, and explains what it takes to bring lust home.

Start with the Bible. Seems those who actually adhere to the teachings in it enjoy their relationship for life. Filter all other writings through the principles taught in it.

I know from experience that it works until death do you part.

Thanks @justme777, I appreciate you’re input. Personally that doesn’t hit my values – but I’m grateful for you taking part in the conversation.

You could also follow my blog… 😉 Agree re Esther Perel, I mention that book and have an interview of her in my articles.

I actually see people in private consultations and lecture on it, being a qualified Jungian and psychospiritual counsellor, but also trained in Tantra and as wellness and spirituality coach in addition to being a historian. Have a look through my articles…
