Touch–not only as someine that especially enjoys such, but also because touch is such a strong form of communication. It can often say things that our brains don’t readily verbalize. It communicates values and habits–thing of when someone takes their time with tracing a hand, the gentleness of a caress, the knowledgable pressure of massaging that one place that they know needs to be tended to….

I’m with Eddie on this one. To me it’s the ‘6th sense’ that is the most important. Both partners should feel warm, safe and comfortable, that ‘connection’ that many of us refer to.

If we’re limiting to the the 5 senses, then for me it’s smell and touch.

    Great question. Sound and smell.
Sound: I love to hear the suckling noise…I listen for it because it often means my partner has relaxed and is in the zone.
Smell: Our pheromones are in our scent…enough said. 😘

As someone who is blind I heavily rely on my other senses. For me sound, touch, smell, and the sixth sense are the big ones. I remember the ANR I was in through them. I remember the softness of her skin as we cuddled and nursed. The taste of her milk, warm and soothing. The sounds of her steady breathing and heartbeat, the gentleness in her voice when she asked me to nurse. Feeling warm and safe in her presence.

So good to see all different kinds of preferences. It shows communication, getting to know each other is so important to learn about what makes the other feel safe and seen

For me it’s all of the Senseo mentioned including the conection one. And for nursing to work properly they all have an equal portion of importance for me, one isn’t more or less important then the other

For me it is primarily touch. I am touching with hands, cheeks, lips, nose, and more along with the embrace. My next sense that is more meaningful for me would have to be taste as I have a sweet tooth. I also second the 6th sense as quality time and physical touch are my love languages so yes, the experience brings a profound series of emotions like the sense of love, bonding, nurturing, and safety/acceptance.

Even though I am very visual, surprisingly I go between times of open eyes to closed eyes during the experience. My sense of smell is low so I do not get much from smell though I do notice it sometimes. I am not paying attention to sounds much either during the experience.

Interesting question, it made me think.
