InactiveI’ve recently relactated using only my breast pumps, no medication or suckling. The pumps massage my breasts and I enjoy the nice feeling of it, but I never get any milk out of my breasts with the pumps. I always have to hand express after pumping. I know this is a common problem but it’s time consuming and I find it a bit of a pain.
Has anyone else who has previously had no success with pumps found a pump that empties your breasts? Thanks in advance 😊
December 14, 2023 at 8:55 pm #368539I wish, Rachy. Same issue here. I’ve tried 5 different pumps, and see no difference.

InactiveThe suction is never strong enough, if you do find one please share. They’ve found ways to make bottles shape and deliver milk in a more natural way.
December 15, 2023 at 3:29 pm #368729Double check you have the correct falange size. They can go by ½ sizes too. Work with gravity and hydrate hydrate hydrate. – you’re local NICU nurse

InactiveAlthough, I am producing milk and I can express it by hand, so I don’t think it’s a lack of hydration. It’s just time consuming and a hassle 🙄
December 15, 2023 at 6:32 pm #368802Oh Absolutley. It sounds like it could be a Falange problem, or maybe your settings you have adjusted. Maybe read through them again?

InactiveOk thanks I’ll try that. But I suspect it’s just my boobs to be honest, I had the same problem when my kids were babies.

I’ve tried the Willow-Go, the Spectra and two different Madelas.

Inactive@rachyj I just created a forum post full of info on different pumps. I was going to comment with the info on this post, but my comment got to be too long 🤣

InactiveI’ve always had troubles expressing milk with pumps
I’ve always had better luck with a suckling mouth!!!!December 17, 2023 at 8:20 pm #369679Anonymous
InactiveYeah I agree Jules, it’s more effective and feels nicer if you can find an experienced suckler. I think my former ANR partner must have spoilt me a bit too much, because I can’t seem to find anyone compatible 😂

Inactive@rachyj I feel your frustration. I’ve had to hand express, even though my pumps (baby buddha) can suck the mastitis right out my nipples. LOL. Nothing like pulling out a bit of coagulated milk through the nipple.
