I often get asked if wanting to switch from ABFheaven to another messaging platform like Telegram is suspicious. Might they be a scammer?
It’s a tricky one, a bit of a judgement call.
There are perfectly good, legitimate reasons why someone would want to do this. The ABFheaven messages system is a bit glitchy, etc.
There are also bad reasons. They want to get you on an unmoderated platform to make it easier to ask for money etc.
So my general advice is this: make sure to at least hear their voice HERE ON ABFHEAVEN before you agree to use Telegram or wherever. Swap a few voice notes. Do a live voice call (between Friends Only).
If they refuse to do this on ABFheaven before switching and insist on immediately going off-site, then I would suggest you tread very carefully indeed.
But like I said, it’s a judgement call.
I’d appreciate your comments about this please, thankyou.

Inactive99.99% of the time it’s a scam. “ I’m not here often” but yet you see they are. If I like someone I will try from time to time against my better judgement. That typically ends with them wanting to teach me to invest in crypto 🤣. There is no good reason for a person to place an ad on a site and immediately say I can’t talk here…
February 15, 2025 at 3:55 pm #545883Could just be that someone is in an environment that isn’t conducive to having ABFHeaven popping up on their phone screen, but they’d like to continue the conversation…..not everything is suspicious, but it does pay to be cautious.
February 15, 2025 at 3:56 pm #545885Johnny, thanks for that opinion.
I would ask that you report any behavior like that to me, Admin, assuming it originated on ABFheaven.
– anyone places a personal ad on ABFheaven, then requests you go off-site to chat? REPORT TO ADMIN.
– anyone tries to get you to invest in crypto? REPORT TO ADMIN.
February 15, 2025 at 6:34 pm #545929It’s a personal choice for me. I prefer chatting off the site, once I am comfortable. Mostly because, the site will boot me off my phone at some point, especially When I go about my day. We all are busy ppl.. and I personally will never log into this account while at work or around family/friends. But if I get a text, that is from someone I trusted enough to move to a chat system. Then I can message them back without hesitancy!
February 15, 2025 at 8:35 pm #545954It’s a personal choice. I like to do chatting in fast app or offline(not here on thisnapp, as it’s too slow and not so Interactive here).
Ask for phine number number or do regular text, most people do nit feel comfortable. So telegram is one of the app where you can have your privacy and chat faster, without sharing your phone number.February 16, 2025 at 12:01 am #546029Anonymous
InactiveAt briefly .. agreed.. but the way I read the post was the people that start with it on the first or second message
February 16, 2025 at 2:31 am #546087I think after chatting here and knowing for a while, it will be natural progression, if both parties desire. It’s more about convenience and quick message exchange.
February 16, 2025 at 10:14 am #546188I feel it should be a personal choice not a Platform mandate to report this to Admin. Unfortunately, this app can be glitchy at times, it’s cut me off, logged me out, I’ve lost partially composed messages. I assumed it may be a bandwidth issue. No complaints at all, it’s just one of those things.
I’ve been a member long enough to hopefully have a good idea about red flags…check to see how long they’ve been a member, gradually exchange more than one photo, increase messages, agree to video chat here. I don’t use my personal phone number on Telegram or any Messaging Apps, as a precaution.
I’m not going to purchase Crypto, content, Girl Scout cookies or anything whatsoever from anyone & if someone does that’s on them…good grief!
If someone is pushy, aggressive & takes issue if I don’t want to____fill in the blank____. I have no problem blocking them. I’ve had them create another profile when I’ve blocked them for undesirable behavior & I block that one.
The biggest hindrance is members, men, in my case, that repeatedly message you/me when they see I’m online & do not reply immediately reply to them…Hey, Hi, You there, I see you’re online, why aren’t you answering me? Sheesh.
The second biggest hindrance is not being able to connect with anyone at all.
Reporting someone to Admin for only asking to chat on another platform seems a bit extreme, unless there is something I don’t understand.February 16, 2025 at 1:41 pm #546239@welshie agreed, it is mostly not an issue.
February 16, 2025 at 1:47 pm #546244@cindyyloohoo thanks for your comment!
It is certainly not a mandate, just advice. Under certain circumstances, it is advisable to report. Eg. a newly registered user, won’t engage with you here on ABFheaven, won’t let you hear their voice, and immediately requests you join them on Telegram. That is suspicious and should be reported. But it’s not a mandate. You decide.
February 17, 2025 at 1:41 pm #546676Thanks Michael for bringing this up. You know what happened and I want to share my experience to help people be safe on this site.
There is one user based in Tacoma, near Seattle, who on her profile says she’s serious about meeting, etc. Basically all the right things.
We connect, talk offline on Telegram (as she feels more ‘connected’ taking on Telegram), and I fly out to meet her there. The day we were supposed to meet she texts me on Telegram that I was a fool to think she would be doing this for free as guys pay her to do this.
Her profile is still on ABFheaven.February 17, 2025 at 4:56 pm #546752@ricky77 That’s awful! It does beg the question of why is she still here though? Surely if you can provide screenshots of the telegram conversation and the conversation from here that gave her telegram ID, that’s enough proof for Michael to get rid?
February 17, 2025 at 5:37 pm #546767I already have provided screenshots (few months back) and Michael knows the story. That’s why I started my second sentence with “You know what happened… “.
I guess since asking money happened outside ABFheaven (and I feel the woman I am referring to knows and exploits this loophole), Michael’s hands are tied as well.February 17, 2025 at 5:52 pm #546771And yes I had to create a second profile here since I moved and could not update my location through this site anymore.
