Thank you for your hackneyed attack on a man’s right to talk. It’s a pleasure to dismiss it so summarily.
Hilarious that you think that I shouldn’t be speaking for all women. You shouldn’t be speaking about what women want at all because YOU AREN’T ONE! Maybe try actually listening to a woman about women rather than telling women what you think they should want.

Sam no one was speaking “for all women.” They were voicing their own personal preferences to a legitimate question, to which you replied with insults and personal attacks. Seriously dude. Try another website and leave the judgements and drama out of this one. On the bright side… I’m sure the women are grateful to you for showing your true character in a public forum. Sadly, comments like yours are what give women a bad taste towards the men on this site. Even the ones who respect other people’s opinions and ideas.

It was only incorrect in two senses:
1. Yes, they are presuming to speak for all women. Jibbysheaven literally admits as much in fact. My sole contention is that they don’t-as nobody does. Obviously! I’M the one saying they only speak for themselves. Lol, That’s central to my ENTIRE point. If you can’t follow that one simple thread then that reveals defective critical faculty on your part, not an inability to explain things on mine.
2. I’m not the one dealing in insults. I’m relying on rational argumentation. It’s actually the women who are relying on insults with claims that I’m either i) sending dick pics or ii) “mansplaining”. Neither of which is true and both of which are appeals to emotion rather than dealing with the argument itself. Because they can’t
It’s axiomatic neither of them speaks for all women. Because nobody does.

I did not say that I speak for all women. I said that you think that I shouldn’t, which is what you said. And, you do insult and attack. Saying don’t send dick pics is not an insult.

So…back to the original question, it’s perfectly up to you what you put in your profile. Face pics are fabulous, but some people have reasons for not wanting to do that and it’s okay.
In my opinion what you share during messages is more important although I know for some members a shirtless pic as a profile is an instant turnoff, so I’d maybe bear that in mind. Good luck!
@snwest Its a special kind of misogyny to tell a group of women in 100% agreement, that we’re all wrong and you know what we really want. And a special kind of stupidity to do it publicly, and then claim it’s because of our feelings and because you have a right to mansplain. You keep taking your cues from the red pill/manosphere types and you’ll stay single and miserable forever. Cavemen were more evolved than the stuff you’re spouting.
Women dress up for other women and men workout for other men. I recently read a study that showed most women prefer average men rather than buffed out gym rats. Women just want a guy who looks healthy and can carry our heavy boxes. 🙂 Even a bit of dad-bod is ok if he treats us well and changes lightbulbs. Lol. My immediate reaction to shirtless selfies is that the guy is not looking for anything serious. It screams Tinder hookup. So, I’m in agreement that I would prefer to see a face and a smile, assuming the guy falls within that average body range, and understand if his face is not posted publicly on this site. Also agree, that a normal picture that shows your full body is less off putting than shirtless/naked or posing. If a guy significantly deviates from average, I’d be curious to see a body picture at some point, but its not singularly determinative for me.

1. It isnt “misogyny” to tell a person (who happens to be a woman) she’s wrong. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what “misogyny” is.
2. I’m not telling any of the women they’re individually wrong. That would be absurd. I’m (very clearly) saying that there will be other women who do like body pics. And they’ll simply be less inclined to post that response in this thread.
My response was actually directed at the author of the thread (a male), because it was he that had posed the question. It was said to give greater context to the answers he would receive/could expect to receive. For some reason you and a few other women have become personally triggered by it. Seemingly because you can’t untangle your own personal feelings from a generalist (but most importantly, correct) observation.
That inability (to recognise the existence of a world beyond your own feelings) says more about you than it does about me.
