@ Bella , thankyou very much for the feedback. It’s very important to me to avoid making changes to the site which might be seen as in any way negative to users. Your comments are noted. 👍
December 23, 2024 at 6:43 pm #521660Hmmm…I’m not loving the idea. I do think I would use the site less, just because I’m a private person. 🤷♀️
December 23, 2024 at 8:01 pm #521669I think it would be too intrusive tbh. Some of us like to keep our chats and conversations private and I don’t particularly want any friendships I make to be part of an activity feed.
The forums already show who the most recent contributors are and I think it will do more to scare new female members away, by advertising them for the usual barrage of messages as soon as they join the site…..

InactiveI feel like it might be like a “Turn the dudes LOOSE”-feed…like, I get discouraged to hear that guys are kinda aggressive on this site…might annoy the girls a bit…?

InactiveOff of what Bella wrote, I was going to say maybe for men but not for the women lol.
Either way, THANK YOU MICHAEL for all that you do for this community. Hope you and your fam have a wonderful holiday season.
December 24, 2024 at 5:44 am #521809so it would be sort of like a feed? It’s not a bad idea, but I would suggest giving each user the option (in the form of a checkbox) with each of the changes listed above:
“Make this Change Public,” posting it to the All Site Activity
or
“Keep this Change Private,” which will keep it out of the public site activity feed.
December 24, 2024 at 6:34 am #521821I agree that if this happened I would use the site less, make less changes, as well as no longer accept friend requests as I don’t want all of that shared in a feed on a page of the site I already have to avoid.
December 24, 2024 at 2:49 pm #521894I agree with Bella but understand your need to facilitate a sense of community. Sounds like a functionality that extroverts would love but us introverts wanna stay in our little ‘ole corner and peep out as needed.
Not sure if my comments were helpful but hopefully you found it insightful. And by the way you are doing an awesome job as ADMIN Michael. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and are appreciated.
December 24, 2024 at 4:07 pm #521903It’s too much information. Much easier to navigate and see most of those information other way. But its individual preference.
December 27, 2024 at 2:46 am #522639If there’s an opt-out, yes. If not, no. Heck, I’m not crazy about being on the Recent Site Visitors scroll.
