A like button

This may have already been mentioned I am not so sure.
Has it been considered to add a like or heart button to a post or comment?

So many times I have agreed or like a comment but in order to say this you have to post a reply?

It also may encourage more posts and show those actively involved that people are reading it.

Not sure what other think 😊 I am also aware it could be hard to implement if it has been considered.

You can kind of do that already in chat or when messaging someone. I don’t see any way of doing that in a forum post.

Great suggestion Shola. A like or heart button would make it much easier to show agreement without needing to post a full reply and it could also help boost engagement by showing people their posts are being read.

There may be some technical considerations behind the scenes, but it’s definitely an idea worth exploring. You’d be best to email Michael (Admin), as he’s the man who could make it happen. 😊

A splendid idea shola!!! So many times I want to leave quick encouragement on forum 📫 posts, but I can be too timid for a formal reply! Great idea! Just ask Michael! He is super to communicate with! Giggles…

I dont need it. If you do not want to put in the effort of a reply, its not important to you.

Rumina, it’s not about making an effort to respond. Sometimes someone just says exactly what I’m feeling, and I couldn’t have expressed it better, or I just want to support the comment.

Thanks @yeva you have conveyed exactly what I meant. I have agreed with a lot of posts and I want to let them know. ☺️ it was just a thought, and this is my first forum post after lurking for ages lol

A like button would be a nice addition. Like others have said, sometimes you agree with something someone said, or you want to show support. It would increase community engagement either way..
