This is a link that I normally send contacts who are new to the process, or seem focused on nipple sucking (destined for failure).
I read in a comment somewhere that the tongue action is something like peeling a grape with your tongue….nipple to the soft palate, mouth over areola….
I’ve read that as well and it’s a pretty apt description.
Flowrgardn, that is actually what I have done and it works very well. It’s not as hard as it sounds and it works really well to help pull milk out of the breast or to stimulate the nipple when dry suckling.
You’re quite welcome and very right as a good comfortable latch is highly important. So I hope it will help those who need the guidance.
