Just wondering, anyone have strong views about this? Is there a general consensus?
If you wear dentures, should they stay in or out when nursing? (Of course I’m referring to the suckler!)
What’s your experience, if any?
Mostly it depends on the person whom is suckling, I have dentures and would remove them so I didn’t hurt the other person. I am a small person with a small mouth so it was more enjoyable to remove my teeth while nursing.
Again, it is a personal decision and everyone has there preferences.
Since babies do well without teeth 🦷 seems like out might be better but I have not suckled anyone so it’s hard for me to know for sure
Teeth are my biggest worry with placement, pressure and tolerance. So if there’s an option to pop em out. I’m 100% supportive of it. My boobs would thank you for your toothless service 🤣🤣🤣
It’s always been a question of mine how people manage to nurse with minimal damage from teeth.
Yes, it’s very interesting to hear the women’s view on this, especially. After all, they’re on the “receiving end” of it, so to speak…
It would depend on if removing the dentures produced a gap ?
It’s better to have a full set – than teeth like bins down an alley on collection day.
Bony gums can hurt –
However Getting a nipple stuck in a gap – ouch!!!! A bad set of gappy teeth makes my nipples invert 😖
If there was no teeth at all after removing dentures, I think it would be a better experience. However, no one ever had removed dentures for me so I have no point of comparison. My kid nursed 2 years and I only have a point of reference to toothless mouth and then bunch of teeth. Lol. I definitely prefer toothless.
Interesting question, Michael!
But as mentioned before, when a nipple could get stuck between teeth, probably not best to remove the dentures.
