SITE UPDATE …Picture sharing functions will soon be back to normal

Recent privacy & safety issues:

– Some users were accidentally uploading pictures to ABFheaven which contained very accurate location data. (EXIF)
– We spend a lot of effort warning users to be careful, guard their privacy, remain anonymous etc. …so this is a huge issue if they are unwittingly revealing their home address, literally. Big problem.
– I decided to shut down all picture sharing functions, temporarily, until a solution is found.

The marvellous Rose has now created a tech solution to this, from now on all uploaded images will have any such data removed, automatically.

WARNING: ABFheaven is not responsible for your accidentally including this info in uploaded images. It is your own responsibility. Learn how to use your phone/camera correctly and – to be safe – make 100% sure that this location data function is OFF before you take any picture you want to upload. It is your device, your responsibility.

Moving forward:

– Today, the picture sharing function in private messages will be switched back on.
– Within a few days, all profile Media will be activated again, back to normal.
